Hello dmiller,
Is is possible that you are trying to connect the charger to the plug that operates the main motor?
That is what I tried to do initially. What you need to do is to remove the cockpit housing from the frame. This is done by gently pulling the lower rear area of the cockpit straight out and off the posts that you will see on either side. The whole assembly can then be slid forward and over the battery pack which is in the nose, or in the very front of the craft.
At this point you will be able to see those plugs and note that the connector for the battery pack is a female fitting while the plug or connector for the drive motor and the charger are both male fittings.
I reckon that they do this so that one cannot hook the charger directly up to the motor lead which could result in injury if the on\off switch would happen to be in the on position.
I will remove the cockpit every time for charging because it is much easier to get to the plugs. This is also a good time to see the Potentiometer screw (page #8 of manual) that you will use to dial in the trim of your craft.
