Do not know what made you wriggle wire in tail light, but
if that cured it for a while, you must have one almight short there,
or the engine earth needs taking off cleaning really well and
putting back with new washers and bolts.

My sidekick will just die or barely run
it died one time and wiggled wires in left tail light and ran for about 2 weeks took to duck camp 100 miles ran fine idled around in woods for about an hour and then it would not hardly run 3 or 4 miles an hour

i tried several things when it stalled

I cut the pink wire to fuel pump out of plug and bypassed the plug, thought it was in connection didn't work I then cut pink wire and ran fuel pump direct to battery took ecu out of the loop didn't,t help
took plug out of fuel rail turned on fuel pump shot out gas to grill
also it had a new fuel filter
but
waited for son to bring trailer to tow home after about an hour it started ran 65 mph 100 miles back home has run around town for the next three weeks

You've already eliminated the spark plug & wireset, distributor cap & rotor.
Sounds like your car needs a tune-up, specifically, the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve, and/of the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve.

Components checked/replaced during a tune-up are:
air filter
motor oil
motor oil filter
breather filter
fuel filter(s)
fuel strainer
PCV valve
EGR valve
spark plugs
spark plug wires
ECM or distributor cap & rotor
cabin air filter
transmission oil filter
transmission oil
engine coolant
check all vacuum hoses and lines

92 C1500 Chevy wont start. Changed plugs, wires, distributor, rotor and fule filter. Pump runs when key is turned on. Poured gas to the distributor and starts up and runs fine. but jerks ar high rpms...

So you threw parts at it. No harm intended. Should have started with the adding gas part first. You know the filter is new and it does run! Are the fuel pump amps correct, pump mech bound,no fuel volume, pressure regulator work correctly? Does the pump run in start mode or time out? Now the harder stuff. What does the spark and timing look like,What is the computer seeing and then what command is it sending?

No power when accelerating

Once you rule out some kind of ignition problems,; spark plugs and wires, ignition timing, distrib. cap & rotor, the cause may be low fuel pressure from a failing pump or clogged filter. Listen to the pump in the gas tank. If its been getting louder lately, have the pressure tested.
