I just bought the BT-15K. I'm charging it now. The light should be solid red when charging but it flashes occasionally. Is it charging?

When the light is solid red, the batteries are charging.
A flashing red LED light indicates that the charger detects abnormal batteries or the battery temperature is abnormal.
When the light is a solid green, the batteries have completed their charge.

Flashing Red Light is not charging and solid red light mean charging the radio battery.

Let the unit charge overnight to make sure that is the problem, if there is no change return the item for exchange.

I opened mine into the on position and the charge light went from blinking to solid red.

Ridgid charger lights read as follows: Solid red; charger has power. Flashing red; charger is evaluating the battery, checking if it's cool enough to charge and if it is in chargeable condition. If the battery is hot, i.e. just came off the tool after extended use, it won't charge the battery until it cools down. Flashing red & green; the battery is defective and the charger will not charge it. Solid red & flashing green; battery is charging. Solid green; battery is full.

Take it back. Something has a short in it. Do not leave it plugged into the charger or you could have a fire.

i have same camera.. but i dont think this is a problem.. while charging light keep flash.. when it completes charging it shows u solid red light..

Ok the lightning bolt is your power indicator: solid green-charging, Flashing green-fully charged, flashing red-low battery, flashing red three times the once green-bad battery. the "trash can" looking one is your hard drive activity indicator it will flash while your hard drive is reading and writing.

This happens because the battery gets too low to take a charge.
To jump start the headset, connect the power lead and the LED will be flashing red. now press and hold the power and BT pairing buttons. The LED should change to solid red.
I found that holding both buttons for about 3-5 minutes allowed the battery to get enough charge to start charging and you can release the buttons and the headset will continue to charge.
If the led starts flashing again, just repeat the process again.
