I have a lg plasma tv a few days ago it stop working no picture only audio it's a black screen the picture looked showy the second time i turned it on before turning of by itself

If you only have it since a couple of days, don't mess with it. Claim your warranty; get it changed, it is a vey Bad Buy. If they don't want to change it, at least get it repaired as soon as possible

Motherboard goes for 3 seconds then shots itself

hi i like to help. first off, put back the old processor and reset the motherboard. you''ll find the jumper caps near the battery or you can read the label on the board something like jbat1. put the jumper cap on pins 2 and 3. wait 10 secs to reset the board then put it back to pins 1 and 2. The board should work now. to upgrade your processor i think you have to upgrade the bios first. download it from the manufacturers website. after bios update, replace the procesoor and it should work again.

I have a P5GC-MX and i keeps turning itself on and in about 15 second it turns itself off. If I leave it unplugged for an hour then it stays up for about 30 mins and starts all over again?

Hardware problems, most likely caused by overheating processor ; Install this program and monitor your pc - if something is wrong you will see it and know what to fix

It all depends how many beeps there were.
From http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12253_div/12253_div.HTML
Diagnostic LED Explanation Table Number of 1-second red LED blinks followed by 2-second pause, then repeats:
2-processor thermal protection activated
3-processor not installed
4-power supply failure
5-memory error
6-video error
7-PCA failure (ROM detected failure prior to video)
8-invalid ROM, bootblock recover mode

I have only really come across 4 beeps = order new Power Supply or 5 Beeps = reseat the memory and hope it works

Laptop comes on for a few seconds then nothing

Sounds like you may have an overheating issue with the processor. If it has gone on for some time, there could be damage to the processor and that is accounting for the short turn off time. If the system powers up on the battery alone, does it still shut off?, if you take the battery out and just attach the ac cord, does it shut off just as fast? If the unit has run hot for some time and not shut off there is a good chance it has dried the thermal grease on the processor or it has done irreperable damage to the processor itself and they may have to be replaced. First get some compressed air you would get at an office supply chain and using short bursts of compressed air, spray it in the vents, ducts, pull the cd tray out and blow air through the cd drive, open the bottom of the case and blow air in all the compartments. Blow air across the keyboard, but pay close attention to the heatsink, and it vent grills.

PC has becum slower and turns off without by itself

You should, as soon as possible, open it and check at the processor's fan it should be full of dust and you processor is overheating and can burn if you don't act fast. I personally had twice the problem.

COMPAQ Presario SR1220NX - Heat Sink/Fan

The processor fan should always be spinning; the variance is how fast it is spinning to dissipate the heat. The audible you would hear was most likely the fan spinning faster.

Take off the side of your case and turn on your PC. Is the processor fan spinning?

Also if it is a fan issue you will begin to experience heat issues on your processor that will start to force your PC to shut down in order to protect itself. I don't suggest you allow this to continue to happen as you will eventually fry the processor.

COMPUTER POWERS DOWN AFTER 3-4 MINUTES

Hi, the problem could be that your CPU fan may possibly have died as this will cause your CPU to overheat and the system will shut down automatically to protect itself.

On the other hand it could be the power supply unit. Open the box and turn it on and watch your various fans, some PC's have 2 or 3. if it is workin nice and fast then more likely the PSU. Before you open the box make sure you will not be voiding any warrantys that you may have from when you bought it.

Let us know how you go.
