I cannot get the cover off to change batteries

To change the battery on a Bang & Olufsen BeoCom 5 handset, you will need to follow these steps:

How do I put cover on flawless after changing battery

It is a very old model TV so I don't think replacement parts are available. What would make a good substitute battery cover?
Ideally something which is easily removable and replaceable when the batteries need to be changed.
My initial thought was tape but I am not sure this would work as the batteries wouldn't be kept secure and would likely lose contact with the terminals.

2. Install one new "CR2032" battery into

• Your radio, Midland LXT110, utilizes a NiMH rechargeable battery pack or 3AAA batteries. I have a similar set and when the battery pack runs out I just use regular AAA rechargeable batteries. They are more economical. To change the batteries in general follow these steps.

1. Remove the back clip.
2. Now remove the battery cover by pushing down from the top center of the battery cover and slide it off.
3. Replace batteries observing polarity.
4. Replace the battery cover.
5. Replace battery clip.

This problem is caused by the 'step' inside the battery cover which prohibits the tip of the battery contacting the nipple inside the cover. I fitted a thin piece of aluminium strip (20thou) and the rangefinder works perfectly now. Note that most new CR2 batteries have higher sides which shields the tip too effectively - check it out.

You can change the batteries easily.
First, remove the screws at the backside, near the bottom.
Then flap open the front, starting from the top.
battery is glued to the back cover.
Remove the connector, remove the battery.
Stick new battery to the back cover, connect the connector.
Fit both the covers together. Power on the player.
If there is no problem, put back the screws.

Turn the calculator over. About in the middle of the back of the calculator, there's a latch. It's above the mainly rectangular battery cover. Push the latch down toward the rounded end of the calculator and then pull the cover out toward you. The batteries are underneath.

If you need to change the backup battery, use a small screwdriver to remove the screw under the battery cover.

1. There should be a cover on the bottom with a release lip the batteries are here to replace. this is located right below the on/off button.

the metal cover will be sliding and if you will slide it left or right battery should come out.
