No way man. A mechanical watch should be timed in the factory & the rate is in no way different on different people. They are simply hoping you will go away.

It will not be as accurate as a quartz watch, but you should be +/- 15 seconds a day on a product like that. They are not great, you are buying a name. But you still should get something for your money.

I bought my Armani RA 0587 watch I did wind it up but it isn't working?

Your watch has a quartz movement and therefore does not need winding.

Is there a small plastic insert under the winder? (these are sometimes fitted to prevent the watch running while it is in storage before being sold.)

Otherwise, try pulling the winder fully out and then pushing it back in again.

If you are still having trouble, go back to the seller and ask for help.

If they are unable to help you the you could go to http://store.emporioarmaniwatches.com/en_US/shop/sportivo_watch-AR0585P.html?searchTerm=AR058&imagePath=AR0585 (click on this link) and in the left hand corner of the page you will see "customer care" and a phone number. Try ringing them to discuss your problem.

The watch is running slow

Have you had the battery checked? If not I would suggest that first, and if not the battery, then prob time for routine cleaning, adjustment. If you dont have a local place then check out:

Good luck.

I bought a ARMANI CHRONO WATCH - AR0294

Big hand is for chronometer function, not for counting seconds. The small seconds hand is for continuous seconds counting and should tick all the time.

How to set the year for armani meccanico watch AR4218?

The Armani site is not very helpful but try this one:-

The year should change when the month hand passes from December to January.

If you pull out the winder (it may need to be screwed out anticlockwise first), you should be able to find a position where the month can be changed. Wind the month hand passed December. If you need to advance it more than one year, then wind it backwards from January to December and then forwards again to January.

Im planning to buy the Model AR 4613 and wonder to find out more details about the specification. Do I need to self adjust the week days (SUN, MON, TUE) indicator everyday? My friend who bought the same...

I would not recommend any of Armani watches, as they all have very average quality Chinese or Japanese mass produced movements. Your friends watch is proof to this - it already has broken weekdays calendar part. There is no need to adjust day or date every day, as the watch is designed to do it itself, but it's not always working with those cheap movements. In fact, when buying Armani watch, you are paying for brand name and design - let alone quality. The choice is yours, of course, but for the same amount of money, I would opt out for Tissot mechanical watch. In this case you will get reputable and well known Swiss brand name, Swiss made, assembled and to Swiss standards adjusted movement. And, of course, the whole watch will be made in Switzerland, case, bracelet, dial, glass, hands and even smallest of screws inclusive. No other country can beat Swiss made watches, as their standards for watch making is the highest in the world. At the very end your Tissot watch will make your friend jealous, because you will never have such a problems like broken parts or non-functional calendar e.t.c. Timekeeping will be on the spot as well. If you will look after your watch, your grand-grand-grand-grand children will be able to enjoy it, because mechanical watches are designed to last almost forever. I'm not trying to change your mind or advertise Swiss made watches - just trying to explain what would be the best solution for the amount of money you have. One more thing - the Armani watch you are after will be out of trend in a few years time and will have no value at all, however, Swiss made watches usually have timeless designs and are always keeping very good value even after years of use. In some cases 10 or 20 years old Swiss watch costs a lot more than it was bought when brand new. Hope it helps.

I hope you didn't get a 'knock-off' through Amazon. This has to be still under warranty, it is a matter of reputation.
