Cassette sensor switch inside the machine body. Remove cassette outside and check machine body bottom where cassette is installed. Switch Has been misalignment by unfortunately. Align this two Switch Sensor Then again install cassette. Hope its working.....
Bad news, the "golden'" paper is actually a piece of the fuser film of the printer. Out of experience i have found that a new fuser film costs almost as much a a new printer.
Found this link that may be usefull in making a decision whether to replace the fuser or buy a new Printer :)
Did you set the default tray in the "Printer Properties" in Control Panel? Or, if you did, do you get any paper tray related error messages? It's possible that there is some sensor flag that's malfunctioning. Usually, however, it's just a setting in the printer driver.
Sorry i said he reset it, he actually cleaned the feed rollers and run a bypass to allign the feed drive unit, I am getting him back in so i will keep you all posted on the outcome
Ya, I had that same problem too; I was printing something that was over printing margins, and then i had the message "supply rec. paper......" on the lcd screen. I ended up fixing the problem by clearing/canceling all the documents i was printing on my computer, and clearing/canceling all the documents saved inside the MEMORY OF THE PRINTER (note the green light with the "memory, in use" which means it's probably still trying to print the document that's too big, so it wont print anything else). (<--- not sure if that was your problem, but it was mine)
Anyways, to clear the memory inside the printer, i pressed the "status monitor" button located to the left of the "B&W start" button, and then i scrolled over to "print status, select job to cancel" and canceled all jobs, and then once i canceled all jobs, the alarm disappeared, and it was fixed XD
