On my Kitchen Aid KEBC107KSS03 built-in oven, the door handle came loose so took the back door panel off and was tightening the handle when the front door panel glass shattered. I'm going to order another glass panel but I don't want to make the same mistake again. How should I tighten the door handle without breaking the glass? Thanks Larry

Remove the door gasket, that should give you access to removing door plate. Door handle may need to be replaced.

I had the same problem. We took the door off completely & turned it upside down. There are screws on the bottom of the door, take them out, take off bottom trim piece that holds the outside glass panel in place, remove glass panel and you can access the door handle screws and clean the inside of the glass while you are at it.

youl have to take apart the door.the screws are on the other side of the glass/framing

Hi,
You may have to get some loctite brand paste in a tube for applying to the threads of the bolts that hold it on.
This will prevent the screws from loosening.
Another way would be to get some spring washers or star washers at your local hardware store such as menards.

I took other hinge apart.
Removed front glass by removing handle -bar.
Removed upper screws of spring on both sides. loosened two bottom screws of spring assembly.
Removed control panel assembly by taking out 5 screws.
Started with one side hinge first.
Inserted larger arm of lever first then inserted small lever, pressed with small screwdriver to engage a little slot {bottom side} of smaller lever to little stud inside.
With the same screwdriver engaged a little hinge to the notch of larger arm..
Did the same thing for other hinge.
Put the upper screws back,
Tightened bottom screws back.
Put the front glass and handle-bar back.
Put control panel assembly back.
Now it is ready to go.
Door is Fixed.

when you took down the control panel and gained acess to the upper cavity , there wasnt a service manual just to the left inside a red plastic bag???, if not there is another fuse loacted just behind the micro front looks to be atop the capacitor area

LOOK WHERE THE HINGE METS THE OVEN DOOR FACING..you will see on the hinge a tab with the door open pull these forward this will lock the hinges do this on both sides then closed the door slightly and lift up the door will come off then you can unscrew the bottom scres to access glass

I would try putting some locktite on the threads so It wont come losse anymore.
