My Samsung n120 screen is displaying only vertically - how do I go back to horiz display?

Computer users occasionally have a need to rotate, or "flip," a monitor display to be better able to read long documents or to view pictures. Because rotating a computer screen is such a basic function, modern operating systems (Windows XP and up) include hot keys and display options that enable the user to rotate the computer screen by 90, 180 and 270 degrees. Rotating the computer screen allows for more display options. For instance, when rotated 90 degrees, a 1680x1050 monitor becomes a 1050x1680 monitor, which provides more vertical pixels than a standard display.

Windows XP/Vista Monitor Orientation
Minimize any windows or programs to the taskbar. Click the desktop. Press "CTRL" + "ALT" at the same time. Press one of the arrow keys to flip the monitor orientation by 90, 180 or 270 degrees. The left arrow rotates the computer screen 90 degrees; the down arrow rotates the computer screen 180 degrees; the right arrow rotates the computer screen 270 degrees; the up arrow resets the monitor orientation. Rotate the computer screen in Windows Vista by opening the Control Panel, searching for "Tablet PC" and changing the "Orientation" drop box to the desired rotation. b> Windows 7 Monitor Orientation b> Click the Start menu at the lower-left hand part of the screen, and open the Control Panel. Select "Display," then click "Change display settings" from the left column. When using multiple monitors, select the monitor that you would like to rotate. Click the drop box next to the "Orientation:" option. Select the desired rotation and click "Apply." Click "Keep Changes" or "Revert," depending on preference. Click "Apply" in the Display Settings window. Click "OK" to finish.

How do i change the screen from vertical display to horizontal

The IBM ThinkPad Z61t computer runs the Windows operating system. Normally, Windows is displayed on a monitor in a manner that makes it easy to read. If you want to change the screen display configuration (from vertical to horizontal), modify the screen display properties in Windows itself. This process causes the computer to rotate the image displayed on the screen by 90, 180 or 270 degrees, depending on the setting you choose.

1.Right-click on an empty portion of the Windows desktop on the Z61t.

2.Click "Properties."

3.Click "Display."

4.Click "Change display settings."

5.Click the "Orientation" drop-down window. Select the "Landscape" option to make the screen display items in a horizontal manner.

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly

Press in hard.. rotate it 90 degrees Counter clockwise and wiggle / pull it out. When you re-install a new filter align the filter with the internal locking tabs and press in hard and rotate 90 degrees clockwise.

Some times the filter can br really fussy to remove you just have to keep wiggling and pulling to get it out of the recepticle once you have rotated it 90 Deg CCW.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,

My screen is side ways how do i put it back to normal

Do you have a rotating monitor? There are a few that can be rotated 90 degrees in the plane of the screen for a "portrait view" instead of the standard landscape view, and they will automatically swap horizontal and vertical signals as needed. If you have one of these, the position detector switch is stuck in the wrong position. You may be able to get it unstuck by rotating to the other position and back again.

There are some programs (e. g., Acrobat Reader) that let you rotate the view of the file you have open, but that only affects the contents of the window, not everything on the screen. I'm not aware of a program that rotates the full screen view for the entire system.

Where is the water filter located?

The filter is in the refrigerator section in the space behind the vegetable bin. Thus pull the bin out to change your filter. Then remove the cap by rotating it counter-clockwise. Remove the old filter (turn 90 degrees counter-clockwise and then pull out) and then take the protective cap off your new filter. Slide the new filter into the housing and then rotate clockwise 90 degrees. The alignment marks should indicate the filter is locked into place. Then replace the cap. Remember to run water through the dispenser for several minutes to clear the lines.

I hope this helps.

(I don't have a manual for the RS2630WW; however, the Samsung RS2630SW should have the filter in the same place.)

Screen is horizontal how do i get it back to it's normal view?

Almost positive it's a hardware related feature. It's usually an option in the video card driver's settings.

You can change it by changing the driver settings for video card in the control panel. An option is usually there in the video card driver settings that allows you to rotate the display horizontally (90 degree or 270 degree) and vertically (180 degree).

Look trough the control panel carefully, find the Video Card Driver... change the rotation settings to 0 degrees and thats it !!!

Go ahead and give it a try... Its surely a prank played on you by your pal...

Do let me know if the problem still persists after this. Just leave a comment here...

Dont forget to vote for this solution at the bottom!!!

Good Luck

Elongated desktop and software screen images

Many graphic cards enable you to rotate the screen up to 360 degrees. You could try to post this question again under you graphic card model instead of computer screen model as it is your graphic card that is certainly the problem.

How can the image be rotated?

To rotate a vertical image, display the image in playback mode, press the down key to cycle through the three positions: 90 degrees counterclockwise, 90 degrees clockwise, and horizontal. Upside down position is not available.
