Good evening. I have a Thomson DTH 5000 I am unable to retrieve a dvd from it as the drawer appears to be stuck!! any ideas as to how to sort out this problem. Many thanksja

Take the cover off the device, and look for anything blocking the DVD tray. If nothing can be seen, remove DVD by hand, and try manually pushing open the tray after pressing the open button.

CAUTION: Once the tray moves, get your fingers out of there FAST! The tray might not be able to cut you, but it will hurt like no other if your fingers get stuck in there!

Once the tray is open, push the open button a few times to open and close the tray. This will loosen any debris that may have blocked it. If it still won't move, then the motor has gone out or been disconnected. Have someone with experience working with electronic circuit boards take a look at it to determine the problem.
