I have a dgb600bc grind and brew. It will initially grind and brew the coffee hot, but as soon as the brewing is done the heating element shuts off causing the coffe to slowly get cold.

Found this in manual: "Setting the Automatic Shutoff Time The Automatic Shutoff Time can be pro- grammed anywhere from immediate shutoff after completion of the brew cycle up to four hours.
To check the current setting, press and hold the On/Off button (about 2 seconds) until the red light and LCD display begin to flash. This signals that you have entered the Set Automatic Shutoff mode. The desired time can be set by pressing the Hour and Minute buttons to scroll forward through the digits until the desired time appears. Pressing and holding either button will allow you to scroll continuously, slowly at first, and then to accelerate to the rate of about three digits per second. As the desired time setting approaches, release the button and press repeatedly to advance one digit at a time.
The Automatic Shutoff Time may be pro- grammed either before or during coffee brewing. You may also re-program the shutoff time when brewing has been completed. If you do so, the unit will automatically account for any time that has already elapsed after brewing. For example, if you set the shutoff time for 40 minutes and 25 minutes have already elapsed, the unit will shut off automatically after 15 minutes (40 minutes minus the 25 elapsed equals 15 minutes)."
I'm gonna check it on mine when I get home - we have the insulated carafe also but who knows ¯¯\\_(?)_/¯

Hi,

When the cycle is finished, the coffeemaker will beep 5 times, indicating that the coffee is ready. The unit will turn off automatically.

The insulated carafe keeps the coffee warm for four hours. The aroma of the coffee is preserved thanks to the hermatic cover. It is not necessary to remove the cover to pour coffee.

Hope this will help you.

Vinegar solution cleans mr coffee modelJWX23 but can it be taken apart to clean it better the coffee doesn't come out real fast for long

No. This coffeemaker is not built to be serviceable in that regard.

You can wipe down the inner-sides of the reservoir for a slightly better maintenance cleaning. But, 4 cups of pure white vinegar (no water added) in the hour-long cleaning cycle followed by two pots of fresh water in the brewing cycle is really the best way to clean the rest of the inner-parts which contact the liquids.

If your real purpose for your question is how to resolve the elongated brewing times, I'm afraid that is a symptom of damage to the heating element. This too is not serviceable.

The heating element will naturally degrade over time. But, it can incur sudden damage when the reservoir is refilled with water too soon - while the element is still hot. Because of the simple design, if the coffeemaker is one, then both the warming plate's heating element and the reservoir's heating element are on. So, after a brewing cycle is complete, the reservoir's heating element stays on. Without any in the reservoir to keep it cool, the heating element superheats. So, if water is put in the reservoir while the coffeemaker is on or before the element has adequately cooled, the sudden burst of steam from the water contacting the element can be quite violent.

You can get a faster brew cycle by putting warm water into the reservoir and making coffee right away. But, depending on your hot water supply, the coffee may not taste quite as good.

I have the grind and brew thermal coffeemaker. The water does not get hot enough for steam to come off of the coffee when it is poured.

Hi, I have owned that coffee maker for years.
After it brews coffee, it does not have a warmer to keep it hot. It has a thermally insulated carafe. Such as regular lunchbox thermos jugs have. The reasoning behind this is that coffee heated after it is brewed spoils in a short time. (Of course, unheated coffee gets cold).
What that translates to for you with regard to no steam is this. As soon as the coffee maker finishes brewing your coffee, open the top of the carafe, stick in a spoon and stir it.Then pour it. (I learned the stirring part working in a restaurant).
If you have to wait before you drink it, do the same. Stir it first.
Hope this has been helpful
Love that grinder!

I have a bunn coffee maker that when it brews the first pot is hot after that the next one is not. It is the coffee maker that has two warmers on top. i didnt know if would be the heating element or...

While this brewer does have a reservoir that keeps a couple of pots worth of water hot for brewing you can get a cooler second pot if you brew directly after. You should hear the brewer heating up after brewing. Try waiting until it is back to temperature before re-brewing. If that heating takes more than a few (3-4) minutes then you probably have a problem with the heating element and the water is only being heated by the "keep warm" heater.

I do love our Cuisinart pot...but find they only last 2-3 years...so my suggestions is: if the pot is still in warranty, call Cuisinart for a new one...they are great about it. If you don't know if it is still in warranty, call them, give them the number and they will tell you.

Cuisinart grind and brew

This happens when the machine needs cleaned. Fill coffee maker with white vineger instead of water. Turn grind off, make sure empty pot is in place. Brew a pot of hot vineger. Repeat. Brew a pot of hot water. Repeat. This process removes mineral buildups inside machine. If you have access to filtered water, start using that to brew your coffee. I do and probably do this process 1 per 6 weeks.
