I have reliance broadband connection. They have provided ADSL modem. Now I have bought DLink ADSL2+ Router (Model No. DSL-2640T).
I am not able to configure the router. Pls let help me on configuring this.
1. are you familiar with configuring a router? or is this your first time? 2. make sure you have all the necessary settings with you like your password, connection type (PPPOe, PPPOa) you can find all these inside the old router that you have, if you don't you can call your ISP and ask them to give it to you.

Hello, Download and install free open source Router Commander software from www.routercommander.com. After problem happens, see in router commander's syslog what the reason is.
Since your using an adsl modem, possible that is a problem with your adsl box or your adsl line. I would suggest you to call your ISP so they can further check your line and also your adsl modem .
