I just bought and installed a new intelliflo variable speed pump and now my Hayward pool sweep does not move to the shallow end. It only cleans the deep end and even that is not cleaned well. It seems to do a similar pattern over and over with not much variance. It worked fine with the old single speed pump. Ron

All electric motors run hot and pool pumps are no different. But how hot is too hot for a pool pump? The first test is simply whether you can touch the motor or not. Under normal operating conditions, the motor end of the pump is hot enough that you can barely touch it - but not searing hot.

check you tube for programming you have to put it into the controller mode or it will override it

check incomming voltage and switch

A pump motor running without any flow of water is one of two things. The impeller inside the pump that is connected to the motor is broken or clogged. Open up the pump and inspect the impeller for debris or seperation and clean or replace as needed.

I don't believe an intelliflo can control a salt cell. You'll probably have to use a timer or control system to control them separately.
