I had an issue like this took me months to fix it. I finally just put in a higher grade fuse in. I think it had a 10 and i put in a 15 worked after that but mine was not wired to the battery. I would say check your fuses and wires.
OCER indicates that the unitis in protect mode. First press the reset button (tiny pinhole button). If the unit comes back on saying OCER then most likely there is a short or a grounding problem with the speakers or speaker wiring. Disconnect all speakers and press reset again. If OCER still shows up the unit needs service. If not, connect each speaker once at a time until the unit comes back in OCER to narrow down the location of the unwanted DC signal.
It's in protect mode. If you have a reset button, press it, it should be next to the SRC button(very small hole, need a toothpick to press) if it works you're ok. if not unplug speakers one at a time to see if you have a short. good luck
Not sure what Kenwood you have but I have a kdc-135 and all I had to do was reset the stereo. Small tiny (tiny) button under or near volume button. Push it in for a few secs...........bingo.....
Ive had this problem lots of times I cant find the underlying cause but for a quick fix just hit the little reset button on the bottom left corner. Im still trying to find a way to stop it from constantly happening
