Hello,
I have approx. a two year old Uniden Powermax5.8 cordless phone with 2 phones and bases. Most recently both of the cordless phones are not holding charges for more that maybe 20-25 minutes. I'm going out tomorrow to buy 1 replacement battery. I'm an electrician and familiar with multimeters. My question is: I would like to use my meter to check the charging capacity of the phone base. What setting should I use on meter (ACV or DCV) and what output range should the base be putting out?
have the same problem. seems the handset is too warm, showing too fast a charge rate for the battery ( methinks ) even with a replacement battery. havent checked current, charge voltage yet, but this is a GREAT phone, as phones go...so worth figuring out. any chance it came originally with lithium batteries, rather than nkms?
