Which offers the best cardio workout - treadmill or bike?

There isn't a lot of difference between them. Cardio is all about getting you heart rate higher so Treadmill or Bike is often down to which you personally prefer. You could also use a rowing machine to get the same cardio workout.
The biggest difference is mostly which muscle groups your using to pump up your heart rate.

How do I lower treadmill from store to use mode?Rebock Model #RBTL 145060

I don't know (yet), but I'll soon be able to help you though! I have just bought a treadmill that is similar to yours (it's the Lifespan TR1200, mentioned here http://www.your-workout-routine.com/cardio/best-treadmills-2014/).
But hey! You could ask in the store you bought it, can't you?

What are some of the benefits of elliptical machines over treadmills?

Whereasa treadmill provides an "impact" workout, elliptical machines provide a "no-impact" workout. This makes workouts on the elliptical trainerhave much less stress on the knees, hips, and joints.

I am looking for a machine to buy for my home that will give me a great cardio workout. Should I opt for a treadmill or an elliptical?

If a cardiovascular workout is what you want, you should get an elliptical machine. They give you a total body workout - with handle bars for your arms and pedals for your feet. You can burn a lot of calories without having a lot of heavy impact on your joints.

How accurate are the calorie counters on treadmills and cardio equipment?

Here's what the Sole exercise equipment makers say about calorie counters on exercise equipment. it's from their E-95 users manual: "Calorie readings on every piece of exercise equipment, whether it is in a gym or at home, are not accurate and tend to vary widely. They are meant only as a guide to monitor your progress from workout to workout. The only way to measure your calorie burn accurately is in a clinical setting connected to a host of machines. This is because every person is different and burns calories at a different rate. Some good news is that you will continue to burn calories at an accelerated rate for at least an hour after you have finished exercising!"
