Hi ormsethkellymy name is Mike Houston of DISH Network and I was going over your post andwanted to check something's with your receiver. If you're watching a programand do not touch the remote and you see the receiver go off you can disable theInactivity Standby, you will want to push the buttons of MENU-8-8 and make sureit is disabled and you will be able to watch a program without the receiverturning off.

I have a Sony model KF-50WE610 tv. We moved it today and once it was set back up the picture is black and white. I have checked all connections, cables, and signal and nothing makes a difference. It is...

The cables connected are in the wrong spaces, either on the receiver or the television. Using component style cables, Green, Red, Blue for video, and White, Red for audio, one of the video cables is in the wrong spot. Using RCA type cables, Yellow for video, White, Red for audio, the Yellow is inserted into a green component somewhere. The ViP 722 is compatible with HDMI, which has a much higher resolution (1080p max with the ViP 722) and a better refresh rate (the ViP 722 max is 30Mhz), and as there is only one cable for both audio and video, is much easier to use, if your TV is compatible, you should look into using HDMI instead,

Receiver overheating to about 140 c model vip 722

artisticwall,

An overheating receiver can definitely be a big problem. Make sure the receiver has good ventilation and a good air flow to ensure it stays cool. If the overheating problem continues the receiver may need to be replaced.

I hope this has been resolved by now for you, but if you need assistance or have any questions let me know here or if it's account specific you can reach me at [email protected]

Error code 04ee on Dish network 722 vip HDD,

Hello this is luke. I do not know of any 04 ee error code on dish network. The closest will be 004. Try to check if it is coming from the receiver or from the tv by unplugging the receiver from wall outlet while tv is on. If the code stays, then it is from the tv, if it goes away with the lights on receiver, it is from the receiver. Let me know.

Dish vip 622 and vip 722k frequent picture freeze and restart

Sounds like a signal strength issue. You may have either a low signal or something like a tree limb is blowing into the signal path dropping the signal strength to a point low enough to causes issues.

Copy shows from dishnetwork 510 receivers to external hd

ic_technolog,

External Hard Drives are not supported on the 510 receiver. The 211, 211k, 411, 612, 622, 722, 722k, and 922 are all capable of having an external hard connected via the USB port on the receiver and a one time activation fee of $40. I hope this helps.

Try setting up your audio sync. press menu then 6-1-7 if you have HD programming select high defenition and Done. This should help with sync issues, if your problem still persists contact dish or go to www.dishnetwork.com/tech.

DISH NETWORK RECEIVER 625 WONT STAY RUNNING???

Unfortunately, there is no way of saving your DVR, i would ask Dish for an upgrade to a Vip series rec, for example a 622 or 722 which can allow the use of an external hard drive. it also sounds like your root problem is with the voltage in the outet your dvr in connected to, try to plug directly into wall, if it is already, have an electrician check your voltage to prevent future issues.
