The wireless feature (Wireless LAN) on an Acer notebook allows you to connect to available networks. This convenience allows you to use the Internet with network cables, modems or network installation. Acer laptops come with a wireless switch to turn the wireless feature on or off. Once you enable the wireless feature, your Acer notebook can connect to wireless networks within range.
Follow these Instructions
Locate the Wireless LAN switch located on the front of your Acer Notebook. Move the switch to the right to turn on Wireless connections.
Right-click the network icon located on the system tray next to the clock. You should see a list of available wireless networks.
Select the network you want to connect to and click "Connect."
Turn the Wi-Fi switch on the outside of the laptop to the "On" position if it is not already on.
Select "Control Panel" from the "Windows Start" menu. Select the "Network Connections" control panel.
Right-click the "Wireless Network Connection" beneath the "LAN or High-Speed Internet" header. Select "View Available Wireless Networks" from the context menu.
Select your wireless network and click "Connect." If you have a password set up, enter it when prompted and click "Connect" again. If no password is set up, a window will alert you that the network is not secured---click "Connect Anyway" to connect to the network.
