Hi, It is not on selector knob, but it could be on capacitor(s). As stabilizer capacitor has role to maintenance the good power feeds to system. Please check it then.

I cant find the echo part on the mixer for karaoke

The effects or FX section is on the top right of the mixer. On your vocal channels find the yellow knob marked FX and turn it to 0. Choose the effect you need using the Program knob (top right) for karaoke this will probably be 03 or 06. Start singing and turn up the yellow knob marked 3 - FX under AUX Sends until the LEDs above them hit -0db, no higher.
Now find the button marked FX - Main Mix and make sure it is UP.
Turn up the yellow knob (3 - FX) next to it until you can hear enough echo on your mic.

2442FX. When the mixer is switched on the numerical displays on the twin digital FX units flash and the FX units don't work.

The flashing means the FX hasn't been activated yet. Dial up the number you want THEN push DOWN on the knob to activate and the flashing stops and the FX takes effect.

I have the PMP1680S and the vocal effects do not work, a friend researched this and found it to be a common problem with this unit, thank you

The most common problem is improper setup.

One needs to control the FX SENT to the effects unit with the FX1 and FX2 controls for each mic channel. You should see the levels on the tiny histogram alongside the effects selection dials/indicators. Next select the effect number you want so it is displayed in the window. Then PUSH in on the selector for each of the two effects to activate the selected effect. Now, lastly advance the FX to MAIN knobs to control the amount sent to the main mix. Some of the effects are subtle so try different ones.

How to send effects to microphones

You CAN'T send ANYTHING to microphones since they are INPUT devices.

If you want apply effects to the audio coming FROM them then this is what you do:

Adjust the trim and faders for normal use and verify the mics are working.

NOW for those mics you want to put effects on, turn the knob labled "FX" above EACH mic FADER that you want effects on... it will be the orange topped ones... about the fourth one up ablve the PAN and the two MON knobs. Adjust these to send each mic into the effects mixing buss. Start by setting them at 12 o'clock. You will use these to proportion the amount of effects applied to individual mics.

Next, advance the FX fader/slider to around the Unity mark... this controls the amount of the FX mix buss goes into the FX processor.

Next adjust the knob above the MAIN fader that says FX to Main. This controls the amount of the FX that is sent into the MAIN mix buss...

We are almost there... Select the effect you want with the effect knob to the number of the effect you want... it will be blinking AFTER a change... the effect will NOT have changed yet... WHEN you want the effect to take effect, PRESS DOWN on the effect knob and the effect number will stop blinking and you now have the effects on those mics... ADJUST the three level things... the knbs under each channel to proportion between the mics... adjust the FX fader for the USUAL control of effect amount... and finally the FX to main knb to set the limit of the effect going to the MAINS.

I have Behringer PMP 3000 2 channels not working fx not working and fan not working but unit turns on ok

Fan speed depends on temp sensors. If doesn't run at all when unit is loaded, take in for repair immediately.

If FX window changes with the control, chances are you have not set the controls properly. You need to havew THREE places turned up for effects: The FX knob in the desired channel(s), The FX slider and finally the knob to send the FX to the mains and/or monitors.

OFTEN the stereo channels aopear to not be working because of the A/B switch between the RCA and 1/4 inch jacks.

You did not give me enough info regarding which channels appear to not work.

Broken knob (phazer) need a pott for it ...Help !!

Check their site here under Support:http://line6.com/community/message/59307 if you do not feel comfortable servicing it yourself. They will be able to tell you where the nearest service center is and if you can't get it to one then the specs for the pot. Any good electronics supplier should be able to sell or order you the exact replacement you need. The trick is providing them with the technical info they need. If you or a friend or a nearby reputable electronics service perso can disassemble the amp and unsolder the broken pot from the circuit board it is quite easy to take it to a supplier and have them match it.

The volume knob on the body is broken. Is it easily fixed at home or does it need to be taken in?

A drop of superglue or some other adhesive might fix your knob. Visit any hardware store and pick your best adhesive. by the way, take the knob with you.

Cyber Twin selector knob.

The selector knob may be a potentiometer or a rotary impulse giver device. In any case, it looks like the internal contacts are either dirty or oxydized so the value is changing in an erratic way which causes the unit to skip several presets at a time.

It would require a skilled technician to disassemble and clean the controller (if it can be disassembled in the first place), otherwise you will probably need to replace the preset selector knob entirely.
