An air conditioner is an appliance that draws a fair amount of current. It would have to be a large generator to run an air con. Does the generator run smaller appliances like a jug for instance. If it does this means that it is working okay, it just can't handle the capacity of an air con.

Furnace will not run when hooked up to electricity

Go to your thermostat and access the fan mode. Change the fan mode to Automatic, AU. This will stop the AC fan from blowing when the furnace is turned on. If the fan mode is on Hi or Lo and the furnace is turned on it will turn on the AC blower. Bad design...

On 1994 southwind motorhome rear ac unit clicks but fan doesnt blow but it lights up as unit is on

Check in your unit for a switch on side wall or near ceiling for selecting which AC unit gets power. Should be front, back, or both. Usually black knob to turn. Sounds like 12 volt power getting to it that tells it what to do, but also need to switch over to allow 120VAC power to actually supply power to it for running fan, compressor etc. Be sure to check all breakers in panel as well. You will probably not be able to run both at same time unless plugged in to 50amp or plugged in to 30amp, and generator running as well. I'm thinking a 94 only has 30amp power cable anyway.

AIR CONDITIOER, FAN DOES NOT COME ON, I CAN PUSH IT AND IT RUNS

you must lubricate the bushing, or replace bushing. This happen to due the lack maintenance. or is bad design. However you must try to lubricate Try to contact to your company for inform about this problem.
You must sure the voltage is present in the terminal FAN, use the VOM, and tight the connection from the FAN, any loose connection will be guide to failure. VERY IMPORTANT. But unplugged the power before. God bless you

2001 ford taurus air conditioer doesnt cycle with the computer but works fine with a jumper wire

check the relay(s), it may have bad contacts, there is more than one as you radiator fan should turn on when the AC clutch is activated. you'll need a VOM (Volt Ohm Meter) and a power source to check. there should be a diagram on the relay showing the pin connections for coil, common, and outputs. run continuity checks from common to outputs.

(you say it works great when jumped, so iam guessing that its not a too low or too high on freon)

Porter Cable BSI550 W 5,500 Watt Generator With 10 Hp Engine No AC output

Sounds like the generator unit (sometimes called the generator head) has overheated and melted the insulation in the windings. This is the same as an electric motor "burning out", and if this is the case, then the generator is toast. If you happened to notice that the lights or fans were getting dim or slowing down before the breaker tripped (without the gas engine slowing down) then this is most likely the case and you generator is toast. But if the output just suddenly quit, then it is possible that some smaller electrical component has failed. In any case, it's not something external that you can easily reset or replace. Sorry for the bad news.

Engine runs fine but probably overloaded the generator. Is it just brushes or coil too.

Site unseen i would say its neighter the brushes or the coil . And more the likely the problem is with a transformer converting the DC off the generater to AC for your output . If the engine runs ok and the armature in the generater spins ok and you don;t have a million hours on it should work at least somewhat . Try testing the output on the AC side see what you get for AMPS you will need a muilty meter set to AC amps

The refrigerator does not switch to AC power when in the auto mode and the generator is running. It is working fine on LP

If it makes the switch when plugged into AC ok and just not on the generator then there is something coming from the generator interfering with the control. If it will not switch over even on regular AC then the relay board is malfunctioning. You can try tapping on the relay to see if it is stuck. Eric

Circuit Breaker and Dometic Rooftop RV Air

Its the watts you plug in too like ither 30 watts vs 50 watts. 30 watts will cause your wires to get hot in the unit. just pull down your breaker box and look at those white ground wires.
