I HAVE A JVC GR-D820EK MINI DV VIDEO CAMERA AND IT IS DISPLAYING UNIT IN SAFEGUARD MODE 06, I HAVE TRIED REMOVING BATTERY AND DC PLUG BUT NOTHING HAPPENS IT WILL NOT WORK ON EITHER PLAY OR RECORD, PLEASE COULD YOU ADVISE

Unit in safeguard mode.

Do some internet searches.

SURE ITS NEED SERVICE YOU CAN TAKE TO ANY AUTHERISED SERVICE CENTRE.
BEFORE THAT MAKE SURE THE CASSETTE IS NOT STUCKING INSIDE THE MECHANISUM. THERE SHOULD BE AN ERROR CODE ON THE DISPLY UNIT START WITH E-01 TO E-06

"JVC notes that you are also given a malfunction code when the unit is placed into safeguard. If it displays code 01, 02, or 06 you should remove
the battery and powersupply and wait for a while. Code 03 and 04 indicate that you should eject and reinsert the tape.

If neither of these solutions work, your only alternative is to bring it to a shop or send it to JVC for diagnosis or repair. Unfortunately, there is no other way to clear the condition."

If you are getting E03 or E04 errors on every tape you try, it sounds like a servicing is required.

There is any error code displying on the lcd screen?

remove the battery for some 1 day and then try .. if you have connected the dc plug into the jack remove that also ....
