My glo-warm heater model GWRN18, this has three separate glo sticks (not sure that they are actually called) but if i turn the dial to keep just one of these lit, it keeps going out, I have to keep two lit to keep the burners going, I have a small room and sometimes having two burners going just gets to hot. Any advise.

here's the problem. it has to do with draw. in this case when you turn on the first level of heat, it ignites the far right ceramic block. this is the design flaw. it should have been the middle block first stage. the draw of air caused by igniting the far right block causes the flame to start lifting from the thermocouple sensor as the block gets hotter and hotter. when the block is bright red it has enough of a draw to lift the flame long enough to read as a dead flame, thus the unit safety shuts off the gas. FIX: see if you can get a longer thermocouple sensor unit to extend another 1/8 " into the flame, OR ???

Does pilot need to be relit every time I turn off glo warm gas heater?

No-- it should normally keep the pilot burning...
How about we learn a few things together, and see what to do next:
1.) Does it have a little device right next to (in the path of..) the Pilot flame, that is supposed to stay HOT (and thus be safe for the Pilot gas valve to stay open/'on')-- This is called a Thermo-couple.-- (Actually a very low voltage generator, that tells the gas valve it is safe to let gas flow.)
Here is a link to a Thermo couple for GloWarm heaters-- not sure if this is your exact model or not -- but it may help you know what I am talking about?)
http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/140878605243?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_noapp=true

2.) How old is the Thermo-couple?-- and is it dirty from soot build up?-- It can be polished-- that might help.
3.) THe Pilot flame needs to be just slightly in the path of the flame, so that it generates sufficient electrical power to keep the gas vale 'on'.

Any questions from the points listed above?
Hope this helps-- Mack B.

Dyna-glo rmc tt30dgp wont turn on

Your regulator has failed, just like mine did. Contact GHP Group Inc, (877) 447-4768 to order a replacement regulator - MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE PROPER HEATER MODEL NUMBER. Replacement Part Number: S2TT0001B for the RMC-TT30DGP.

Replacement cost including shipping is a couple bits over $21.

When talking to the technician on the phone, he cautioned me against rapidly opening the tank valve, which hammers the regulator (the replacement one is more robust than the original), kinda' like how water-hammer can cause damage to water pipes and/or water appliances. Open the tank valve gently, don't just whip it open (like I used to), your regulator will last a lot longer that way.

Because of the press-fit and pins used in the regulator construction & assembly, self-repair is not possible or recommended since the regulator may not seal correctly afterwards.

Glo warm wall heater will not stay lit

Hi Cindy,

It seems that your heater is not sensing the flame is lit and is shutting gas supply off. There should be what is called a flame sensor, it is a thin pc. of metal that sticks out into where the flame when lit.

This usually gets charred and dirty, if you unscrew it and clean it with a soft cloth then re-insert it, it will get you by. You should get a new sensor when you have a chance.

Good luck and be sure to disconnect from any power source or turn unit completely off when orking on it.

Thanks,
Paul

My glo-warm propane heater keeps shutting off automatically-pilot and all.

my heater says if the pilot light keeps going off automatically it is a safety function that means it does not have enough fresh air to operate

Filters for dyna-glo pro

You can make your own filters out of felt and I have also found that with some minor modifications most of the parts from Mr. Heater will work with Dyna Glo. I have a 170btu kerosene heater and just installed an ignition, a high limit control and a flame sensor from Mr. Heater and it works like new.

Glo warm heater

These are vent-free heaters and use an oxygen-depletion sensor to shut a unit off if there is not a sufficient amount of oxygen available for combustion. It is either doing it's job and you may have to open or crack a window while it's operating.
