When using my tag slr the chronograph function continually activates as the button pushs against the back of my hand with normal movement, very frustrating as i never see the time ? Is there a solution?

Try pulling out the crown to the first position. Then push upper and lower button simultaneously. The red stick will start moving 1 second per push. Repeat procedure until it reaches zero position, then push back the crown to the normal position.

The small bottom dial is seconds counter and there is no option to set or reset it as it is part of the main gear train - it just counts the seconds. Top right dial is 1/10 seconds counter and runs only when the chronograph function is engaged. One full circle indicates 1 second. Top left dial is 30 minutes counter and runs only when the chronograph function is engaged. One full circle indicates 30 minutes, two circles = 1 hour. The big centre seconds hand is actually Chronograph hand and runs only when the chrono function is engaged. So, the chronograph hand and two top dials works all together when chrono function is engaged. To start chrono: push upper button once. To stop chrono: push upper button again (once). To return all hands to zero: push lower button once. There is another option: if you already stopped chrono by pushing upper button, but want to continue counting without returning hands to zero, push the upper button once more and the counting will start from the point where it stopped. You can repeat this as many as you wish - it will count on and on, till you will stop it and reset to zero. Fine tuning of chrono hands can be made by pulling the crown half way out and while leaving in this position pushing and holding one of the push buttons (which one - depends on movement caliber). This watch is a chronograph. The true second hand is the one you mentioned that is currently running (what is called the subdial hand).

To use the chronograph hand,

1) Press the button at the 2:00 location to start timing.
2) Press the button at the 2:00 location to stop timing.
3) Press the button at the 4:00 position to reset the chronograph hand(s) to zero.

To reset the chronograph hands to zero, set the crown to either click position one (usually date setting) or two (usually time setting), and use each button to test which subdial hand it will zero out.

Usually it is the first crown click position, and pressing the 2:00 or 4:00 button to zero out.

Warning: Leaving the chronograph function running will drain your watch battery much faster than using the standard second hand, as it is a complication meant for the purpose of timing an activity or other event.

If this does not zero your watch, you must either send it back to Michele, or visit your nearest Certified Master Horologist to assess the issue, as the movement may have a defect.

Pull out crown and then push the upper button and hold it. The chrono hand should start move and you should be able to adjust it. If this doesn't work, try the same with lower button. When adjusted - push the crown back in. In fact there are very many variations how to reset chrono hand, but exact advise can be given if the movement caliber of particular watch is known.

Read your manual carefully and you will notice that the big, tall seconds hand is part of chronograph function. So, by pushing upper button you are actually engaging chronograph. This puts more strain on movement gears and consumes more battery power. When your watch is in normal timekeeping mode, the small seconds hand is counting seconds, not the big one which should be steady pointed at 12. If your model is not an automatic movement then it means your battery is too low in remaining power to support the watch.

The crown at 3 o'clock is used to set the time and change modes. The crown at 9 o'clock is used to rotate the flange at the edge of the dial.
The A button at approximately 2 o'clock starts and stops the chronograph function. The B button at approximately 4 o'clock resets the chronograph.

Lap Timer: When the watch is displaying normal time, press the right side crown to switch to chrono mode (the hour hand will indicate CHRONO). This watch measures lap times, press A to start timing the first lap. Press A again to stop the first lap and automatically start timing the second lap (the hour hand will move to indicate you're on the second lap), and so on. You can measure up to 20 laps this way. When you're fininshed timing laps, press the right side crown to see the best lap time. To reset the lap timer, hold down B for 2 seconds. To switch out of chrono and see the normal time, just press the right side crown in.

Chronongraph: To time an interval that is not a lap, just follow the above instructions, but instead of pressing A to stop the first lap, press B and the watch will show the elapsed time to the nearest 1/100th of a second. Hold B to reset.

Crown at 9 o'clock: This crown rotates the inner flange at the edge of the dial and is used to measure total race time (i.e. the total of all the laps). Simply rotate the crown until the the little start trinagle on the flange is aligned with the minute hand. This way, the total elapsed time can be read at any time, similarly to how a rotating bezel works.

To set the time: Ensure the watch is not in CHRONO mode, if so, press the right side crown in. At this time pull the right side crown out until you feel a click.The position the second hand moves to indicates what is currently being set. If the second hand is at 9 o'clock, you are setting am hours, press A repeatedly to set am hours. Then press B and the second hand will move to 6 o'clock, pressing A repeatedly will set the minutes. So on for year (11 o'clock), month (12 o'clock), and day (1 o'clock).

A. SETTING THE TIME
1. Pull the crown out to position “3” (See diagram). If the crown has
a “screw-down” lock, then unscrew the crown lock first by turning
the crown toward you, then pull it to position “3”. Do not forget to
screw the crown back “IN” after all setting is completed.
2. Turn the crown towards you (hands moves clockwise) until the
date changes at approximately midnight.
3. Continue turning the hour and minute hands to the correct time.
If it is afternoon you must go past 12 o’clock again (noon) to set
the correct time.
4. When the correct time is set,push crown back to position “1”.
B. SETTING THE DATE
1. Pull crown to position “2”(See proceeding diagram).The watch
will continue to run.
2. Turn the crown away from you until the correct date appears.
3. Once the date is set, push the crown back to position “1”.
Note: Do NOT set the date between the hours of 8:00 PM and
3:00 AM.This would not damage the watch,but the date may need
to be reset later.
C. CHRONOGRAPH (CHRONO) ADJUSTMENT
If the chrongraph second hand is not positioned at the proper
starting position (12 o’clock or “zero” position), use the below
procedure.It does not need to be repeated unless the watch
receives an impact sufficient to move the hand out of position, or
the Battery has been changed.
1. Pull crown out to position “3”.
2. Push button “A” to move the Chrono Second hand (long hand) to
the “0” or 12 o’clock position. Each button push will move the
hand one step – BUT holding the button down will advance the
hand rapidly.
3. Push crown back to position “1”.
D. USING THE CHRONOGRAPH (CHRONO)
Note: The maximum chrono reading is 60 minutes, However the
chrono will continue running once 60 minutes has passed. The
resulting one hour periods may be added together mentally to keep
track of longer periods.
For example – If you know that approximately one hour has
passed since you started the chronograph, and the chrono reads
25 minutes, then you know that the chrono has been running 60
minutes plus 25 minutes, which is one hour and 25 minutes.
1. Push Button “A” to start the chronograph. Push button “A” again
to stop the chronograph.
2. Push button “B” to return the two chronograph hands to the
“Zero” or starting point.
3. The Chronograph can be stopped and started again
(Button “A”), repeatedly, to “ADD” times together.

The top button is for chronograph function and puts the chronograph seconds hand in motion. The bottom button is for resetting chronograph seconds hand to zero.
Do as follows:
1) push the top button once- seconds hand starts moving,
2) push the top button once more- seconds hand stops,
3) push the bottom button once- seconds hand returns to zero.
You can repeat as many times as you like- seconds hand will allways start the countdown from zero.
Depending on what movement your watch has(mechanical or quartz), there can be more variations, but the basics are as described.
