Heat is escaping from top & top of the sides of the oven door when it is closed & the oven is on. Is there an adjustment to the door assembly which may fix this?

I haven't heard of an adjustment for the door hinges before. The assembly has 2 heavy springs and when these wear out/lose their stiffness the problem you have occurs. Normally the only fix is to install new springs.

Is the door locked? if it is it won't close all the way if it was in the locked position before it was closed. like if it was programmed for "self clean" without the door being closed, the lock would be engaged still.
there's a door gasket that seals it not the metal part of the door so you might be able to stick your thumb in there as long as the seal on the door is closing tightly to the frame, when you open the door it should be on a 90 degree angle, before you had new hinges put on the door, most likely the door sagged lower to the floor and didn't close properly,if you think alot of heat is escaping you could have a bad door gasket.so open the door, look at it from the side,it should look like an L or at a 90 degree angle or even up a little,if it is the hinges aren't the problem if you think to much heat is escaping, call whoever did the work for you and have them check the door seal or gasket same thing.you didn't send the model number so i don't know what seal you need,go here and watch video should be similar and you can put your model number in to find correct part http://www.appliancepartspros.com/whirlpool-gasket-oven-door-wpw10162384-ap6016005.html
hope this helps you out,if heat is coming out with door closed and you have new hinges this is most likely what's wrong
jenn air had some issues with there hinges wearing fast in prior years on there ovens and then you have the ones the kids use as a trampoline sometimes or the heavy turkeys laying on the door while it is opened... there really isn't any adjustment for the door the hinges bolt inside and are held in one place by a few screws ...they are replaceable as welll as the door gasket on the unit... hope this helps you out some... alot of the appliance sites out there will be able to assist you with parts such as www.sears.com then click the parts direct link up top have your model number usually inside unit either on door or inside where door closes... some units between door and cabinet area... good luck to you
We have similar Jen Air double oven and with the same problem but only on the lower oven. The doors are interchangeable and the top door fits fine but the lower door will not close completely at the top. It does turn out the light but has never cooked properly. I checked with several appliance repair shops and the hinges are not adjustable, but since one door closes and our other doesn't it is not a hinge problem, just a defective design.
We let this go too long and are out of warranty so I doubt Jennair is going to do anything. I hope someone post a solution but it is clearly not problem with the henges but with the receptacle they go into.
I have the same problem on my AOCS3040 oven....door will not shut tightly so it loses heat and is about 25 degrees off plus the escaped heat makes the control panel get very hot during cooking.
Unfortunately, dishwasher generate a lot of heat and water vapor. Some manufactures are now including a pressure sensitive mylar / aluminum strip to be attached above the door under the counter to prevent water vapor and or heat damage to wood or composition wood counter tops. However if water vapor is seeping out from the side of the door and causing damage to the adjacent cabinets woodwaork, the dishwasher door gasket may be faulty. Since this might be the problem, it would appear that your dishwasher is used a lot or getting old. New gasket is about $20.
If the door closes and there appears to be a lot of play in the closed door, the latch may be in need of adjusting if possible. That is, even thought closed and operational, the seal is not tight and the dishwasher is running without having a tight seal on the sides. If you have a stone counter top, any water vapor / heat escaping from the top would not be apparent since stone is not damaged by the heat or water vapor, but the adjacent wood cabinets are.
Probably mal-adjusted hinges. Open the door fully and there USUALLY are small holes in the hinges to insert a nail into to hold the hinges open while working on the door.
