It should beep once when you turn it on (unless it's a laptop). If it beeps a few times that's a trouble code that you can look up at the manufactures site. But, if it seems to be running okay, just no display: Maybe your monitor is dead/unplugged/shut-off. Try another monitor, if that fails, try another video card.
That is just generic troubleshooting, it could be something specific to the model. Start pulling parts out one at a time and see if it boots, my money is on your video card or monitor though.
In the future it helps us to know the model, when it stopped working, is it a PC or a laptop, what lights flash, etc.. More details better answers.
Didn't see the model. My bad. Since it's a laptop it probably has a VGA port, plug that into a regular monitor and see if you have video, if so, your monitor is the problem. It could be a loose cable, or the whole thing could be bad. Unfortunenately, replacement LCD's cost about that same as a new laptop.
....and I just answered another OLD question. Sheesh the layout here sucks.
