Denon DRA-275R is in onstandby mode & I can't get it out of it. I tried everything that the manual says including operating the front control button twice & tuning it on & off with the remote. What's the solution? Thanks, Jim Widdowson

Unplug receiver from AC outlet, and plug back in. The power reset should clear up the problem.

Listen for a relay clicking inside. It you hear it but get no power, it is a problem with the relay. If there is no click, it is probably the power supply.

SOURCE: denon receiver (DRA 397) will not speak to iPod dock

IF YOUR NOT USING A DENON IPOD DOCKING STATION IT WILL NOT FUNCTION CORRECTLY.
YOU CAN CONNCET OTHER TYPES OF IPOD DOCKING STATIONS BUT YOU WILL NOT HAVE CONTROL THROUGH THE DENON AND ONLY CONNECT THE AUDIO FOR THAT DOCKING STATION TO THE DENON AS ANOTHER SOURCE INPUT

Denon dra 397 shuts done if I turn on both zone a & b. Have a 100 watt volume control on each pair of speakers. Works fine with only zone a or zone b on, but not both.

Let's understand this - you have an external volume control wired in series with each front speaker set?

Can you elaborate on their electrical characteristics?

My receiver is making a static through my speakers even when the volume is turned all the way down

Check the electric outlet to make sure the polarity isn't reversed, which can cause static. Also, check the outlets in the room to make sure they are all grounded which can also produce static. Also, certain cell phones operating a different frequencies can produce a static.
