No ,use cheapest 20/50 diesel/petrol oil and change every 6000 miles with a oil filter every third oil change this will keep the engine clean inside ,Do this and it will run for ever and a day
Keep doing regular oil changes , fuel and air filters if they havn't been done for a while. Timing belt every 100,000 km.
Everything else only as needed . Brakes , shocks , exhaust , etc.
for reference you can always find out what oil to use by looking at the oil filler cap or in the owners manual.
on this model toyota it is recommended by the manufacturer to use 5w20 in the v6 and you will need 5 quarts 5.5 if you change the filter. where i live we put 5w30 in these motors as we need the higher viscosity.
that should be everything you need to get your oil change done. Hope this helps you and if you need further assistance please feel free to followup with a comment. If this answered your problem please feel free to rate the solution. thanks and have a great day-Midwest-Tek
Toyota recommends 5W-30 and if you look closely you should see it printed on the oil filler cap itself. I have been changing my own oil like over 25 years and equally important if you want to keep your Toyota Echo engine in good running condition is hidden under a silver cowl that has like 10mm bolts you need to unfasten this metal cover on order to get a oil filter wrench on the actual oil filter. By the way, hopefully you are replacing it with a genuine Toyota oil filter as they are relatively inexpensive like $3 to $5 and removal counterclockwise is probably the most difficult part of an oil change, besides dumping the dirty oil into a container and cleanup to me is the filthiest part- but hey you saved like at least $10 or more by Doing It Yourself...
The service duration is affected by many things.. If you are driving in a dusty atmosphere or doing a lot of high RPM but low gear driving, change the oil every 2500kms. if you do mainly highway driving with low rpm but top gear, change the oil every 5000 kms. As a rule, I always replace the oil filter at every oil change even though toyota says you dont have to.
Many manufacturesrecommend a engine oil change every 50hrs more often in extreme conditions,
Most transmissions are sealed units if this is the case company'srecommend not to touch these,
If you have a hydrostatic drive or a Zero turn unit with twin hydrostatic drives the transmission oil must be changed every 500 hours or every year whichever comes first as the hydraulic oil brakes down in time, also at these intervals the hydro oil filter must also be changed...
i recommend replacing spark plugs every 30k miles.your oil and filter should be changed every 3k miles.oil type is either on your oil filler cap or on the flat side of your oil level stick.
