There is no way to turn off beeping. From this site: http://www.chaneyinstruments.com/FAQ.aspx
found solution - Q: My wireless weather station periodically beeps, why?
A: Make sure that any alert and/or alarm features are deactivated first. Constant, sporadic beeping is generally due to the unit's ability to detect a foreign radio frequency of another wireless unit when that unit transmits a signal. Wireless devices that may cause beeping but are not limited to these devices are; scanners; computers w/wireless keyboard/mouse; or other wireless weather instruments. Essentially, any wireless devices transmitting on a radio frequency have the potential to interfere with each other. Limit the amount of wireless devices to lesson the chance of interference. When beeping occurs, one device will need to be deactivated.

There is no way to turn off beeping, d/s designers forgot. I had the same problem, another external temp gauge showed up on the other channel, so my neighbor or someone is using the similar unit. MY SOLUTION: opened back of case and cut black wire to piezo speaker (at base if rear cover opposite side of stand-up prop) that creates beep. Don't use any sound features, ALL good now.

I had the same beeping problem after putting in new batteries. All three channels with temps, after only my outdoor data before. Took off the outer two screws, then the batteries, then the inner two screws, lifted off the back cover, collected the little grey pieces that are the buttons. Found the black wire (is in a black and red pair) at the base, goes to a round-looking bit that when you look at the front, is where the 'speaker holes' are. Cut the black wire per above. So far, zero beeps, and now can monitor my outdoor unit, and the neighbor's fridge and freezer, no problems. :)

AcuRite Professional Weather Center 01602BPDI. It eats the outside batteries. Batteries last about 2-3 months till low battery power shows inside with -40 degrees plus other false readings.

My National Geographic Weather Station is the opposite. The outside sensor only indicates the temperature, but the single CR2023 battery lasts a year. The inside unit on my desk lasts around 5 - 6 months and lets me know if needs a battery by showing the outside temperature as ' -- '

Although the manual says 'rechargeable batteries are not recommended', I would try 4 Sanyo Eneloop batteries. Or you could contact Acurite Support and ask them if your battery use is excessive?

My acurite model75321a1 does not tell out side temperature

We would recommend a reset of your Weather Station. Please verify that you are using a good-quality, standard alkaline battery, and follow the steps below.
  1. Remove the batteries from the outdoor sensor only.
  2. In the outdoor section on the main unit, there will be a "CH" and number 1-3.
  3. If on CH 1, press and hold the channel button on the back of the unit for 5 seconds.
  4. Press and release the channel button one time, it should show CH 2.
    • If it does not change to CH 2, repeat steps 4 and 5.
  5. Press and hold the channel button for 5 seconds.
  6. Press and release the channel button one time, it should show CH 3.
    • If it does not change to CH 3, repeat steps 6 and 7.
  7. Press and hold the channel button for 5 seconds.
  8. Press and release the channel button one time, it should return to CH 1.
    • If it does not change to CH 1, repeat steps 8 and 9.
***Regardless of what channel you begin on, clear out each channel by holding the channel button and return to CH 1***
  9. Reinstall batteries in the outdoor sensor.
  10. Press and release the TX button.
  11. Leave both units side by side for up to 30 minutes to gain a strong connection.

Model 00754W4 does not sense outside temperature..new batteries have been placed correctly in both inside and outside units..noW what do I do?

We would recommend a reset of your unit. Please verify that you are using good-quality, standard alkaline batteries such as Energizer or Rayovac, then follow the steps below.
1. Bring both the sensor and display unit indoors and remove at least one battery from each.
2. Make sure the A-B-C switch on both units match. Sometimes changing to a different channel can help.
3. Reinstall the battery in the outdoor sensor.

4. Reinstall the battery in the display unit.
5. Let the units sit within a couple feet of each other for about 20 minutes to gain a strong connection.

Try taking the inside unit outside as close to the transmitting unit as possible for three minutes. The signal might lock on to the setting you want to receive.

My A/C freezing its coils, while the fans keep running. The AC unit (outside) keep running and never stop caused the coils freezing. It doesn't matter when I turn off or set it to Cool position, the...

Sounds like the contactor in the condensing unit is stuck. That is why it will not turn off when the thermostat is satisfied. If the inside air handler is not blowing and the outside condensing unit is running, then this will cause the inside coils to freeze up rather quickly.
The contactor is located in the outside condensing uni in the electrical compartment.
If it is sticking it will need to be replaced.

I have an ACURITE 00590A1-RX. My time is off by 10 minutes. i don't have my manual and would like to know how to reset it. If possible, tell me how to download a manual.

From the manual, such as it is:

Set the Time Manually:
If you want to set your alarm clock a little ahead or if the unit ever loses time for any reason, the time can be set manually by following these steps.
1) Press and hold the "CH./SET" button for seven seconds to begin the manual time set mode. (2 BEEPS) The hour will flash on and off.
2) Adjust each setting by pressing the "+" or "-" buttons. Confirm and move on to the next setting by pressing the "CH./SET" button.
MANUAL TIME ADJUST SEQUENCE: hour, minute, year, month, date

This works for me. You have to be sure to keep pressing the CH/SET button for the full seven seconds -- the first beep the the clock gives you will only allow you to set the time zone and DST function.

We have a msz-ga80va split cycle, indoor unit runs for about 5 minutes without cooling then cuts out, outside unit doesn't kick in at all

Just had the same thing happen to us with the same model (right on Xmas day).
Checked the circuit breaker is on in the fuse box. Power is on to the external unit. Filters are clean.
Internal unit activates... both indicator lights on. After 5 minutes blowing air it stops and the right indicator light goes out and the left indicator light blinks constantly.
The troubleshooting guide inside the internal unit (under the outer cover you open to clean the filters) suggests that 14 blinks is an abnormality with the external unit and refer to service manual.
Think we'll be calling a technician.

Acurite 1097-rx will not display outside temp or humidity. new batteries. Inside functions normal.

I had same problem. Take all batteries out of both units. Put the batteries in the remote sensor FIRST. Then put batteries in the main unit. Within five minutes, they will link up. Problem solved!
