All 8 emails have told me to reset. Some said to reset there is a hole on the bottom - BUT THERE IS NO HOLE.
Others say to go to preferences - I ALREADY SAID IT DOES NOT OPEN TO MENU OR MAPS
Hello, Do the hard reset by this way "Hard reset by pressing and holding the power button for
around 10 seconds, then releasing it and pressing it again for around
10 seconds to turn it back on"..Its a painful one but its the temporary solution which you can do!..Thank you!!..Dont forget to rate my solution in Premium problem buddy....

Insert a Needle or straightened out Paper Clip in the Side of your Navman S30..It,s on the left Hand Side ( while looking at the Screen) 7 it is covered with a Rubber Plug..There are 2 Holes under this Plug--1 is for an External Aerial & the other is the Reset Hole...

uder the base of the unit you will see a small hole about the size of a pen this is the reset button get a pen or similar item insert the nib into the hole and press the button this should reset the unit
Please go to Preference option on your navman. From the main screen you can setup the following preferences.Now scroll to 3rd page of the prefrences.There you will see the following options:
Start Up – enable/disable the tutorial and language selection screen that appear when the system is switched on.
Saved Info – here you can delete recent locations, favourites, avoidances and reset to factory defaults.
Bluetooth – this option allows you to setup bluetooth pairing with a mobile phone.
Tutorial – run the tutorial that appears at startup.
Shop Demo--runs a demo so you can see the Navman S50 in action.
Just select the SAVED INFO option and then you will see a RESET TO FACTORY DEFAULT OPTION.

You will see a small hole at the bottom of your navman,almost 1mm size, thats the reset button.Please insert a paper clip in it and press,hold the clip for 20 sec to reset.
