Dont charge with the Laptop. always use separate 5v USB charger like the one you have for the phones normally to charge the device

You can charge the MP3 player by connecting the suppied USB cable to the MP3 player and then connecting it to the USB port on a computer/laptop. Don't forget to power up the computer/laptop.

You can charge on a PC USB port...For some reason other USB wall chargers don't work on it (higher current req..)

I have the same player. The AC cord I use just plugs in, there is no transformer or anything. I am not sure what to tell you - just the cord has the following printed on it, not sure if that will help.

Hi, I´ve got this JNC SSF-M9 MP3 Player 20GB since years, but now I lost my AC Adaptor. The Its a Toshiba Harddisk inside 1.8" MK2004GAL 500mA, 3.3C and the accu is 3.7V with 1300mA. So does anybody know, which Adapter (voltage and current) Ineed for this? Please help...

The convergence is shot - on a TV you could fix this, but not on an Mp3 player. Replace this cheap Hong kong pos.
