I just bought the E-MU 0202 USB interface. I have Windows 7 and I have installed the cd that came with it. my computer tells me there is an error 52 and that their is no digital signature or something....and it does not work. I have been looking online and other people have experienced similiar problems, and it seems like I need to download a driver. could you help me figure this out?

That seems to be the standard now, no CD on laptops. It makes them lighter, cheaper, and thinner. In response the good manufacturers are supplying drivers that can be downloaded via the internet, so no CD is needed.

First just plug in the sound device to the USB, turn it on and see if it might automatically install and work. Often on a Mac that is the case. It might. If it doesn't then ...

To find the driver for this particular USB sound device browse to www.creative.com click on support, then click the photo of the E-MU 0204 USB 2.0 (the 0204 and 0202 use the same drivers).

Scroll down the page and there is a section named Driver. Click the button that says Show Details. Read about this driver and see if you think it is the right one. If so click the Download button next to the MAC OSX driver, and install that driver. It is a dmg.zip file, that means you first unpack the zip file, then double-click the dmg file and install the driver. If that doesn't work try using the Autoupdate button that I see on that page.

if your OS is Vista or Windows 7, you dont need to installed its driver.... all you gonna do is placed a new battery to the wireless mouse, plug the USB of its interface, start the PC, wait until it was properly detected and installed by System....... then pressed the "connect button" located at the bottom of your wireless mouse and at the interface module, and Presto!!!........... Goodluck!!!

win 7 and vista support for anything stopped years ago

if the units cd driver is corrupt
guess you have to keep searching for the driver downloads for the device on Creative Labs site or try other windows version till you get something that works

Do you have the driver utility cd for your card? try installing the driver from that even if it is not a windows 7 driver. You can always get an external card reader with usb interface if all fails.

Hey ya'll.
I had the same problem with everything installed,icons on the screen etc...I took my stuff to my computer wizard and he came with the following solution which is:
Make sure that you have a Windows XP "SP2 or GREATER" this is the kicker.Go to the requirements sheet if you need more info.
Anyway I did that upgrade from SP1 to SP2 and it works like a charm with pristine sound.
