If You Do Need ASIO, Install ASIO Most Recent Driver For Lexicon
Omega ASIO is the title for the most recent Omega driver from our
website; it is best to use this version of driver which can be found
here:
http://www.lexiconpro.com/ProductDownloads.aspx?ProductID=6&Type=1
To install the most recent driver, download the OmegaASIOinstaler
file to your desktop. Once the file has been saved, double click on the
application to start the installer and follow the on screen
instructions. Only the most recently installed version of driver will
be available for use on your computer.
To Change ASIO Settings
The Omega has two modes of operation, ASIO and WDM. This allows the
Omega to be used with a variety of software applications which may
require either ASIO or WDM drivers. ASIO mode must be selected in order
to use the Omega with Cubase LE.
The Omega driver control panel can be accessed by clicking on the Omega
icon in the system tray (the area in the lower right hand corner of your
screen, next to the clock). If the Omega icon is not in the system
tray go to Start > All Programs > Lexicon Omega > Omega ASIO
Control Panel; this should make the icon appear in the system tray.
The Omega driver control panel is a shortcut for enabling and disabling
the appropriate Omega drivers so you do not have to access Sound video
and game controller section of the Device manager. There are three
audio drivers for the Omega: 'Lexicon Direct device' is the driver for
ASIO mode; 'Lexicon USB Audio 1-2' and 'Lexicon USB Audio 3-4' are the
drivers for WDM mode. Only one mode can be used at a time, so drivers
for the mode that is not in use should be disabled and will have a red
'x' next to their title.
The Omega icon in your system tray is used to access the Omega driver
control panel in order to change driver modes. The Omega has two modes
of operation, ASIO and WDM. This allows the Omega to be used with a
variety of software applications which may require either ASIO or WDM
drivers. ASIO mode must be selected in order to use the Omega with VirtualDJ . The Omega driver control panel is a shortcut for enabling
and disabling the appropriate Omega drivers so you do not have to access
Sound viedo and game controller section of the Device manager. If the
Omega icon is not in the system tray go to Start > All Programs >
Lexicon Omega > Omega ASIO Control Panel; this should make the icon
appear in the system tray.
If You Don't Need ASIO
Your problem is not with VirtualDJ but your soundcard not being
detected, or it is not in ASIO mode / already in use etc.

Have you set the console to asio mode in the herc software?
Hi there,
A driver problem is usually a software issue. Have you tried updating the drivers or the firmware?

everything is updated I tried installing asio4all as well but it's not working. virtual dj stops working even!
Please help...still haven't solved this I think it might be a vista Integration problem with asio but don't know how to fix it!
Yes (I'm using virtual Dj that came with the hercules) and it gives me an Error in Asio Sound driver when I swith to Lambda in/out. I have disabled the onboard soundcard and the Lexicon Lambda will play music through it but it obviously won't play properly through headphones when I want to listen to a song playing on a deck through Phones only. I also tried installing asio for all and use that as the sound driver but it still gives me the same error and then the decks just won't play anything unless I revert the sound driver to simple mode!
