I have the Behringer Eurorack MX 2642A. Over 6 years old. The right main mix output sometimes works great and sometimes gets very quiet and distorted. Is it time for a new mixer or is there possibly a cheaper alternative?

36V center tapped plus 48V phantom power, this is, 18-0-18VAC plus 0-48VAC transformer, this should be the correct voltages...

The outputs of these mixer needs to be connected to an active speaker.

An active speaker have an amplifier and a preamplifier.

you have to set three gain controls to pass the FX into the mix. The FX send gain for each input channel, the FX fader which sends the FX mix to the effects unit, and finaly the gain that sends the FX output to the mix. Depending on which effect you choose, some are very subtle.

You can use the compressor in two ways. 1st you can go inline from the main outputs into the compressor out of the compressor to the rest of the world using normal cables. You may also insert the compressor into the main inserts using a cable that is tip, ring, sleeve 1/4", to seperate 1/4" tip sleeve mono plugs. any more questions give us a call at the store 215-736-8055

Check the 5 volts to the FX unit, If the voltage is low, the FX processor will keep reseting generating clicks, In a different product, the 5 volt filter cap was degraded and voltage dipped down to 4.5 volts causing resets.

It appears that both these use a 50K pot in the identical circuit and it is UNLIKELY they re-engineered very much so it is likely they use the same pot.

Behringer parts service should be able to tell you.

Those were used for mic connectors at one time,,, they are related to the Amp 91-MC3F family of connectors and those are out of production and they are demanding $20 to $50 for one connector.

That is a ridiculous price and I would be tempted to swap out the connector for a more available design.

On eBay item 250401122616 is one but they want $13 pus $11 shipping which is a rip off.

These were used on some OLD CD radio mics.

Have a look at the Behringer UCA202. Its a Usb port that should help you do what you want.
