Your problem is a little hard to say. Have there been any power outtages or has you computer been powered-off rather than the regular shut-down procedure. Windows registry and programs can be thus corrupted.

You could also try in programs accesories system tools to select "system restore" and bring back your computer to a date where you understand the problem was not happening. (Try this one last)

Usually this has to do with a large attachment, reoccurring appt., or corrupted date record in Calendar. Do a search for a file on your computer called scanpst.exe. Run it and point it to your Outlook.ost file location. Be sure Outlook and Desktop Manager are closed. It will diagnose and correct any errors with your Outlook Mailbox, and hopefully correct this issue. When you search for the files, be sure to look in hidden files as well.
