Hello, I was able to fix this charger via replacing several parts in the source part which were either short-circuited (transistors and diodes) or burnt (resistors):
F1 (fuse 2,5A)
R5 0,91R +-1%
V5 (ST)P6NK90Z
V1-V4 1N4007
V6 2N3904
V8 1N4148
R7, R8 300k +-2%
This won't help after 5 years, but maybe it can be helpful for someone else.
Suction temp, sensor of compressor.
1. Check whether the resistance of sensor is normal, otherwise replace it.
2. Check whether the sensor wire is shorted out or if it open circuit, and whether the plug is well contacted, Whether there is welding off or rosin joint on the electric control board . Repair it if there is any above.
3. When the 1 and 2 are both normal, Then the components or integrated circuit is damaged, The controil board should be replaced.
The various rates of flashing are error indicator codes and should be explained on the charger case. They are for the condition of the battery's though and not the charger. It sounds like the charger itself is bad. Can you return it for a replacement? Is it still in Warranty? For whats its worth, I went from Milwaukee tools to Bosch to De Walt before being satisfied with performance. I hope this helps.
the values that i read: R3 = 4.7 ohm, savety 1/4 W R4 = 47 ohm, savety 1/4 W R8 = 1 k ohm, 1/8 W (seen on working PCB) R9 = 0.47 ohm, savety 1/2 W these resistors and Fet: 2SK2996 were defective
I need the same, but found a Makita multi-voltage charger and have been able to use it. The package says It is for Makita batteries only. HItachi also makes a universal battery charger. I found both at my local Lowe's. The Makita was originally $69, but was marked down to $25. The Hitachi was around $70. You can find either one for good prices on Ebay or Amazon.
