I have a 2008 GMC Acadia and the right rear power window will not go up, it will go down, any ideas

Do you know which one of these your vehicle is equiped with ? Do you know where the vehicle RPO code sticker is ?
Power Windows Description and Operation (RPO AXC/AXE)
Power Windows Description and Operation (W/O AXC/AXE)

Power Window System Controls
The power window system will operate anytime the retained accessory power (RAP) system is active or when the ignition switch is in the ACCY or ON position.
The driver and passenger door lock and side window switches are integrated control module switch assemblies. The DDS and PDS switches are normally open, 3 position rocker type switches, with detents for up, down, and express down. The DDS rear passenger window switches are normally open, 2 position rocker type switches, with detents for up and down. The DDS rear window lockout switch is a push button type switch that provides an active signal to the DDS whenever pressed. Whenever the rear window lockout switch is pressed the DDS will activate or deactivate the rear window lockout function depending on the current state and illuminate the switch indicator whenever the function is active.
The PDS contains a single power window switch that is an integral component. Closing of this normally open, rocker switch provides the PDS with a request for the front passenger power window operation. The switch for the front passenger window has 3 positions UP, Down and Express Down. Each of these switch positions is a direct input to the PDS.
The rear passenger door power window switches are normally open, 2 position rocker type switches, with detents for up and down.
Do you know what DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes are ?

DTC B3822 00: Right Rear Window Up Control Circuit
Circuit/System Description
The body control module (BCM) monitors the window UP/DOWN command from the driver door module(DDM). When the rear window UP or DOWN command is received, the BCM sends a signal to the appropriate rear window switch. The rear window switches continuously monitor the up and down signal circuits, if no function is being commanded, the signal voltage is at approximately B+ voltage. If the UP or DOWN function is commanded, the BCM signal voltage drops approximately 0.5 volts and the appropriate rear window switch will then command the window in the UP or DOWN direction.

How to test computer controlled door locks Subaru same concept for your vehicle .

GM factory test procedure
Circuit/System Testing
Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the appropriate rear window switch.
Ignition ON, test for greater than 9 volts between the signal circuit terminal A and ground while commanding the rear window UP with a scan tool.
? If less than the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to ground or open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM.
Test for greater than 9 volts between the signal circuit terminal C and ground while commanding the rear window DOWN with a scan tool.
? If less than the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to ground or open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM.
If all circuits test normal, replace the rear window switch.

Your best bet maybe to take it to a qualified repair shop

Harley Davidson Fault Codes

2005-2008
1- Turn Ignition switch to OFF & Run/Stop switch is to Run.
2- Push odometer reset button in & hold.
3- Turn ignition switch to Ignition and release odometer reset button. Background lighting sould illuminate, speedometer needle should sweep its full range and indicator lamps (battery, security, low fuel, check engine and cruise) should illuminate. The word "diag" should then appear.
4 - Push the odometer reset button once and you will see the selection menu "PSSPt" with the first P flashing.
5 - Each letter represents an area of the diagnostics module. The module that is flashing is the one you are going to check. To move from one letter (module) to the next, you push the odometer reset button one time. (from P to S to SP to t and back to P, etc.)
P = ECM/ICM (Electronic Control Module [EFI] / Ignition Control Module [Carbureted])
S = TSM/TSSM (Turn Signal/ Turn Signal Security Module)
SP = speedometer
T = tachometer
6 - To get the DTC within an area of diagnostics, push and hold the odometer reset button in for 5 seconds and release. If there are any DTC's the code will be displayed or the word "none" will appear if there are no DTC's. Push the odometer reset button again to view additional codes if they exist.
7 - Record the codes.
8 - If DTC's are not to be cleared, Press and release the odometer reset button. Part number of module will be displayed.
NOTE: To determine if a code is current or historic, clear the displayed code by pushing in and holding the odometer reset button ( longer than 5 seconds) until 'clear' comes up. Release the odometer reset button. Turn OFF the ignition switch. Run your bike and shut it down then recheck the DTC's again by repeating steps 1 to 9. If the code is current it will reappear.
9 - Press and release the odometer reset button to continue to the next module.
10 - Turn Ignition switch to OFF.
On models not equipped with a tachometer "No Rsp" will appear when the tachometer identifier is selected.
"No Rsp" will also appear if the run/off switch is in the off position when doing this procedure.

The temp rocker switch on my Rival Titan heater has burned out. Can you recommend a replacement? Does not have to be rocker type.

Any electrical supply store can provide a suitable replacement, the amps the switch carries is on the switch body in most cases.

My computer hangs up when

id you recently upgrade your PC, change its components, or test a setting in the BIOS that now stops it from power up all the way? Here's how to reset your BIOS.

First of all, if you have, read the manual to the motherboard and look for BIOS or CMOS Reset.

Generally, the easiest and least fiddly method is to remove the power cord from the computer, open it and look for a button battery (usually bigger than the ones in a watch) remove it for for five or ten minutes. Theoretically this should work.

If no manual is handy and removing the battery did not work try the following:

Power down your PC.

#Locate a rocker-style switch at the back of your PC (if applicable), and switch it from the on position (I) to the off position (O). If there is no switch disconnect the power cord from power supply.

#Find the 3-pin jumper near the power supply on the motherboard, typically labeled "clear cmos" or "reset bios".

#Remove the jumper from the default position (typically connecting the 1st and 2nd pins).

#Replace the jumper to connect the 2nd and 3rd pins.

#Push the power button on the front of your PC once.

#Wait a minute.

#Return the jumper to its default position, connecting the 1st and 2nd pins.

#Move the rocker-style switch at the back of your PC (if applicable), to the on (I) position.

#Power on your PC with its front power button.

If it doesn't work go to alternate options.

#open Command Prompt , click Start Menu > Run > type CMD (enter).

#type debug (enter).

#then type this bellow code

o 70 10

o 71 20

type quit.

exit

10.Power on your PC with its front power button.
If it doesn't work go to alternate options

Alternate Method
1.Locate a rocker-style switch at the back of your PC (if applicable), and switch it from the on position (I) to the off position (O).
2.Remove the CMOS battery. This should be a regular 3V, round, flat watch battery.
3.Wait at least 5 minutes.
4.Reinsert the CMOS battery.
5.Move the rocker-style switch at the back of your PC (if applicable), to the on (I) position.
6.Power on your PC with its front power button.

Alternate Method
1.Turn on your computer and press the key on your keyboard to enter the BIOS. This is typically the Del (delete) key. Pre-built systems from major manufacturers may use a function key such as F1, F2, or F10.
2.Go to the last tab or page of your BIOS.
3.Select an option similar to "restore factory settings".
4.Save your changes and confirm your selection if necessary. This will often be combined with the process of exiting a BIOS. Some BIOS types may have this as a separate option such as "F10: Save Changes".

How to reset bios

1. On the motherboard there is a small watch battery. Remove this battery along with the power cable from the power supply. Hold down the power button to fully discharge the system. Wait 2-3 minutes then reinstall the battery and plug in your system. Your reset is now complete

2. Some motherboards have a 3 pin jumper by the battery. Lets say that the jumper is on pins 2 and 3. Remove the jumper while the machine is OFF and place onto pins 1 and 2. Power on your machine for a minute. (Note: Your system will not POST). Shutdown your machine and put the jumper back to pins 2 and 3. Your reset is now complete

I really hope this can help you.
