How to i clean the drum - there is a mark every few inches when i print

If the mark is persistent on each page and repetitive with very precise spacing, you need to determine which roller it's coming from. It could be coming from the transfer roller, before the fuser, the fuser itself, or the fuser pressure roller. Measure the spacing distance of the mark(s), then measure the diameter of the 3 above mnetioned rollers, multiply by pi (3.14159265) and compare the results to determine exactly which roller is causing the issue, then replace that particular roller. Hopefully it's not the fuser as you'd be better-off replacing the fuser film (main fuser roller lining). The fuser and pressure roller are a pain to source, and run abou $65+ for the pressure roller, and about $90+ for the fuser, not to mention this 2 last rollers will take about 1-1.5 hours to replace. They are not hard to replace using common tools. Don't forget to locate the printer service manual over the internet first.

Need instructions for changing out pressure roller on risograph rz390

usally you do not have to replace the pressure roller until your machine goes over 2mil. copies. sometimes it does need to be cleaned. you can clean it by scraping the pressure roller with scissors to remove the built up ink. to remove the pressure roller.1. Remove the drum2. if you look the pressure roller is held in by 1 screw on the frame of the machine. there is a hole in the frame to put a Philips (+) head screw driver through and remove 1 screw. BE CAREFUL NOT TO DROP THE SCREW!.3. gently push the pressure roller to the rear of the machine slightly then lift it up and pull towards you.
to reinsert the pressure roller line it up with the cutouts where it was removed the pull it towards you to secure it. then screw it back in.
PRECAUTIONS FOR REASSEMBLY make sure the pressure roller is well seated on both ends of its holders (front and back) and that it spins freely. if the drum does not go back in easly something is wrong.
