Ringer speaker defective,change by wxpert
Try change handsfree jack if ringer is OK
Hi, what makes it when disconnected to ear piece. When ear piece is not in my ear, you can not hear the phone ring is because the ringer of the phone that makes you know when there is an incoming call on your cell phone or a message alert tone on your cell phone is damaged and does not work and makes sound to notify you .
The ringer is a tiny speaker inside the cell phone that allows you to hear incoming call from your cell phone You will need to replace the ringer inside the cell phone ....
When you replace with another ringer (speaker inside the cell phone),phone will be Ok again.
Would advice that you contact an expert in phone repairs for asistance, that will do you good to prevent more damaged on the phone...
Take care.....
This has worked for me with three different Bold 9000 users:
Pushing down the button above the camera flash
First take off the back door of your BlackBerry Bold phone. Then push down the small plastic button (white or light gray color) that’s located above the camera flash. You need to have a very careful look to see it, as it is very small. There's a small opening above the camera's flash and it is roughly 1 inch long and 1 mm tall. The button that you need to push down is located right in the middle of that opening. You may push it down using your finger nail or a little pair of scissors. Once you do it correctly your sounds will be loud and clear.

Hi,
Please, check all profiles if they are muted
Test the speaker to ensure it is functioning fine; not the ear piece ......... the back speaker. Try playing a tune or something.
Try a hard reset ......... pull the battery out while the BB is powered on. If that does not fix the issue, you may have to take it in for service; should be covered by your warranty.
