Following step by step resetting canon Pixma iP90 :

• Before resetting printer canon iP90, start with printer power off .
• Press resume button coincide with power button.
• While pressing power button, release resume button.
• Press resume button 2 times and then release both button
• Green LED indocator will blinking and then stopped blinking.
• When the Power LED lights in green, press resume button 4 times.
• Press power button and the printer power will off. otherwise off, depress again power button.
• And the turn on the printer again, your printer canon iP90 should be response as normal.

There is no calibration for that printer. You can align the printhead, clean the printhead, run nozzle checks all from printer properties in your control panel under maintenance.

Canon pixma iP90 released almost at the same time with canon Pixma iP 1880. Canon iP90 is printer with single function. Cartidges which used in canon Pixma iP90 is BCI-15BK, BCI-115C dan BCI-16C. Resetting procedure canon iP90 almost the same as manual reset canon iP1880. You can use combination of button in the printer to reset the printer.

may be you have not finised the insallation of the driver of ther printer

IP90 Canon Printer shows error code 5100

This means there is something jamming the mechanism. You should take it to a repair specialist or do your best to check for blockages yourself. It can be the tinest little thing. Check everywhere!

• Before resetting printer canon iP90, start with printer power off.

You may not see a paper jam.

This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.
And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.
