I have a HP C3120 printer. When I attempt to print a document, the printer is always offline. Then once it I have instructed it online, and try printing, I get an message which says simply that there has been an error. The document remains parked, awaiting printing, but with an error message. The printer is definitely connected to my computer because I am able to scan documents. I can photocopy documents too. I have tried turning both computer and printer on and off. I have a further problem, that when scanning the printer will make the initial scan but when instruct it to make the final scan (the HP program makes it a two stage process), the HP program crashes. Your help please.

My brand new Canon IP 100 pixma printer wont print cause it's saying "offline." I've turned it off and on numerous times. What can i do?

Hi, please follow this instruction to make your printer back to "online". Notice that i have used Epson Stylus Photo R230 as a model for the instruction, but this procedure also works with canon.
1. Please try to print a document. (word, excel etc.), 2. Now, if you already notice that your printer is "offline" by clicking the printers icon at the task bar.

The task bar can be found in the lower right part of your screen.

3. All you have to do is, Click on the "printer" tab 4. And then remove the check mark at "user printer offline" by clicking on it.

5. Once done, you will notice that the "use printer offline" will disappear and then let's you print the specified document again.
I hope this helps.

My HP deskjet D4260 is offline. I have tried everything to resolve this but cannot find a way of etting it back online. Please help

Once you have added either a USB or networked printer to your PC or Mac computer, you can begin sending documents to print. However, on occasion, a print command will create an error on the printer and take it offline, which will prevent all future jobs from printing. To resolve this issue, you will need to change your printer settings from offline to online.
PC Instructions - Open the Start menu and click on the "Printers and Faxes" icon. This will open a window with a list of the printers currently set up on your computer. - Double-click on the icon of the printer you want to change to online. A pop-up window detailing all current print jobs will open. - Go to Printer in the menu bar of the pop-up window and uncheck "Use Printer Offline." This action will change the printer from offline to online.
Mac Instructions - Open System Preferences by clicking on the icon in the Dock. - Go to the Print & Fax control panel under the Hardware category. - Select the printer you want to take online from the list on the left side of the screen. Then click on the "Open Print Queue" button. - Click on the "Resume Printer" button at the top of the queue window to change the printer from offline to online.

Printer is offline

Hi, turn it's power on. be sure the usb/data cable is connected to the cpu, if still not, remove the printer's adapter and connect it again, power it up again. if not still online, restart your pc.

When you want to print a document, you choose print and select your favorite printer but nothing happens. You look at the printer menu and see the pesky printer offline message and instant frustration. The task of the moment is going from offline to online. With creativity and patience, you'll have your printer back online in no time.

Instructions

Attempt to set the printer to online. This may not often work but it's the first action to take. Go to "Settings" and then "Printers". Right click on the "Printer" and select "Use Printer Online". Test the printer to see if it now prints.

Clear any print jobs. Double click on the "Printer" after performing the above step. Go to the "Printer Menu" and select "Cancel All Documents". There could have been a stuck print job that would cause the printer to go offline. Try once again to set the printer back online and try printing a test page.

Turn on the printer. Make sure the printer is turned on and turn it off, wait a minute and then turn it on again. Check to see if the is jammed. Check all the network connections to make sure none are loose. Repeat the above steps again if necessary.

Restart the computer. If this doesn't work, you will have to reinstall the drivers. Go to "Settings" then "Printers" and select the printer. Right click on the printer and choose "Properties". Under the "General" or "Details Tab" look for the driver button and select it and choose the driver again. You may also have to download the driver from the printer manufacturer website.

Reinstall the printer. Under "Printers" in the "Settings" menu, go back and select the printer, then delete the printer and reinstall the printer through the add printer wizard. Use the latest printer driver from the printer manufacturer's website.

Hope it helps.
