How do i turn off hourly chime on a timex marathon t5k423

To turn off the hourly chime, just press the MODE button (bottom left) until the watch is in alarm mode. Then press the ST/STP button (top right) and the icon for hourly chime should go away.

What type of battery is needed for the Timex Marathon T5G811 Stopwatch?

The obvious answer is to look for the numbers on the battery that is in it. If it doesn't have a battery then that gets a little tougher and you could probably contact Timex through the internet. Good Luck!

Same problem, I cannot shut off hourly chime. Men's model CG111M

I have a Timex marathon, and this worked for me:

Press 'mode' button till you get to 'alarm' screen. Then press start/stop. This will toggle the chime on and off.

I can't stop hourly chime in my Timex Indiglo

1-Place watch on hard flat surface.
2-Hit repeatedly with large hammer.
