My ESA plasma tv model pdp 4294lv1 has the sound and I can switch the tv channels, but has no picture

    i have sound but no picture. Installed new cords and made sure everything was plugged in correctly.

I am from Philippines and I bought a 2nd hand NEC PX 42VT2 (Japanese Standard) without tuner/receiver. Will it work on my PC as monitor? Will it work on any brand of tuner/receivers?

You might try this.
Go to the Scan for More Channels option in TV Signal Setup.
First delete all the channels shown and then do a rescan.
This worked for me when my cable company switched to all digital.
For some reason WMC picked up the old channel map on the existing
channels and I could not tune them even though they showed in the guide.
