Because the BUNN is a POS with a crappy rubber/plastic seal between the top water trough and the metal hot water tank. Heat destroys these parts and the only solution is to apply the repair kit part number 37091.0000 following the instructions in the kit.
If you haven't used a replacement carafe, then it is probably a clog in the drip orifice, at the bottom of the basket. Note: don't put hot water in your coffee maker as it will perk faster and cause an overflow. Only use cold water. If you have replaced the carafe then it is probably the wrong size.
Absolutely off base, I stated my Bunn leaks water, isn't the carafe, it's underneath the coffee maker itself by where the cord is, I can visibly see where it is coming from, there are pages of complaints online and some say it is part#37091.0000 that will fix it. Your solution wasn't even near addressing the problem, so I will rate your expert advise as not even understanding the problem, I'm so glad I didn't pay for the answer.
I apologize. we are volunteers and I try to help...sorry.
So are you saying that you don't have any idea why the water leaks, or that the part# I stated won't fix the problem? Can I still get the part or what is the part that I need?
I have been looking for an exploded view or a parts list and the best I can find is a users manual for the B-10 and that is located below: http://www.bunn.com/pdfs/commercial/manu...
As you read it you will see a source for repair and an address for the Bunn-O-Matic company and the phone number listed is 1–800–352–2866.
