I have a Sony Ericsson Phone TM717 and i call myself and i can hear myself on the other phone with my friends phone but i cannot speak through it can anyone tell me what wrong with it i have had it for about a year but it is in still great condition and i have not dropped it can anyone help me figure this out?

SECOND! No install. It just runs.
Make sure you have ALL drivers for YOUR phone. That should be under the bettery. Under model... or something like that. HERE! http://www.nodevice.com/driver/company/Sony_Ericsson.html

Take your phone, turn it off. Start this program and click on connect. You'll have 30 seconds to plug your phone into your computer and HOLD C The entire time! (the delete button or 2). If connected, then click at the button: GDFS. There will be a phone lock reset to "0000". Click it. It will take no more than 45 seconds. I promise. Unplug your phone, and vuala! If your phone won't turn on, try pulling out the battery, putting it back and trying again. This program is also good for flashing phones, and putting flash menues on your phone. Also unlocking it and debranding it. GOOD LUCK!

Hi,
Your problem might be,
1. with your mobile phone service provider
2. With your friend's mobile
3. With your mobile itself

To sort out problem 1: Use some other network sim card and try it.

To sort out problem 2: Call to some of your other friends and test it

To sort out problem 3: Use headset connected to your mobile and test it by speaking to your friends via headset. If works fine, then there is some problem with your mobile phone speaker. Test the call using loudspeaker as well. Test the call using a bluetooth headset as well ( if one available with you)

So by the above method you can find out where about your problem is and place a service order to your mobile if needed.
