Sharp MX 2300N - Toner collection unit needs replacing, not sure what this means. We replaced toner cartridgers very recently and assume this is a container that collects loose toner particles. How do you proceed?

Those waste boxes are expensive. After removing it from the machine, just put it in a garbage bag and shake all the toner out , then open the bag enougnh to get the waste container out, and wipe it off with a rag, then place back in the machine.Tie the bag shut, and toss it out....Too bad Sharp isn't ecology friendly. They also have disposable toner cartridges, that could easily be refilled, at a much lower cost, but refuse to do it, and the warranty on the machine is invalid if you use any aftermarket toners.
