Samsung DLP t.v. model #HLR5067WX/XAA My wife bought a 46" Samsung HLR5067WX/XAA at a garage sale for $120. She said the people were moving and they did not have cable any more but turned the TV on for her. It powered up and stayed on but of course there was no picture. That was while I was gone TDY and of course the people are gone now. I hooked up the TV and it turns on and off by itself when plugged in. The picture and sound are great but it stays on about 5 seconds then shuts off. Then turns on again, and off, and on..you get the picture. Everything else seems to work as it should, the chimes when it is coming on or shutting off, beautiful picture... No manual nor original remote came with it. Help Please.

Samsung HLS5687WX/XAA color wheel not spinning. It is "twitching" and acting like it wants to spin, but will not. Moves when I do it by hand, but has a slight squeaking sound.

If I were you I would grab 1 of these needle oilers. Put a tiny bit where it spins as it may now be binding and not able to move. Be careful not to get onto any electrical components or the wheel itself.

Flickering screen, loud buzzing sound, self boot down.

Color wheel bad. Makes rumbling sound. Bad bearings. Has to spin about 10,000 RPMs and sync to DLP chip. Here: https://www.encompassparts.com/webwiz/wwiz.asp?wwizmstr=WEB.SEE&partnumber=5933777&smodel=HLR5067WX/XAA

My Samsung 50'' DLP msg "Check Fan No. 3"

You can attempt to remove the back cover, but there is a very delicate mirror in the back. I'd just move it away from the wall, used compressed air to clean out the fans, and put everything back together. Just make sure you don't damage the color wheel or light engine.
