How do i uninstall roxio easy media creator 7 forever off my hard drive?

It may be a conflict with another program. Roxio is a little tempramental about other software.
You can try another Burning software to check the drive is not faulty.
You can try a free program like IMGburn.
If that program works i would uninstall roxio, run a registry cleaner. I like CC cleaner's built in registry cleaner.
Then re install roxio and check the roxio site for any updates

Roxio 9, Roxio Creator 9 and Roxio Creator 10 are different animals. Roxio 9 is 3 years old +. It likely will not handle 64bit or Windows 7.
Roxio Creater 9 is not listed as compatible with Windows 7

I am not sure what your program has to do with your USB drive. what system are you running?. You may need to uninstall the USB port in device manager and restart your pc and let windows detect it.

uninstall it or if you cant start your computer reload windows from disc. media creator may be too "big" for your system. pentium 4 min.required,i should think no easy way out if its crashing your computer

You can get rid of that disc, and download the one from the link. You can burn that to a disc after its done if you want for backup purposes.

Easy Media Creator 7 is not supported on Vista. Easy Media Creator 9 and above are only supported. Anything lower may be able to go onto Vista, but Tech Support is not going to be able to assist you if you have problems.

If you payed with paypal you should be able to produce a receipt and contact Roxio via e-mail... they want your business..tell them what happened..they may just give ya a free dl..

Ok. What I am going to suggest may seem like a daunting task but if you are careful and do only what I suggest you should be ok. The first thing you are going to have to do is manually make a change to the Windows registry to fix the permissions. 1. Fix registry permissions a. Click on "Start" choose "Run", then type "regedit" and click "OK". b. In the Registry Editor, click on the "+" next to "HKEY_Local_Machine". c. Now click on the "+" next to "Software". d. Right-click on the key (folder) called "Roxio" and choose "Permissions". e. Make sure that "Administrators" and "System" have checkmarks for "Full Control" - "Allow". f. If you had to add those checkmarks, click on "Apply". g. Click on "Advanced". h. Put a checkmark in "Replace permission entries on all child objects with the entries shown here that apply to child objects". i. Click "OK". j. Click "OK" again. k. Now close the Registry Editor Next, you will have to uninstall the Roxio software. 1. Remove Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 a. Go to Start--->Settings--->Control Panel--->Add/Remove Programs b. Select Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 and select "Remove" c. Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the computer. 2. Reinstall Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 a. Insert the CD and install as you did before and then reboot.
