Remove the bulb and try. The bulb or the socket may be radiating a signal. Unplug the opener and pull out on the center contact of the light socket. Try another bulb.

Who knew. I had the same problem. Unscrewed the bulbs and it worked! One of the bulbs was a CFL which I figured could cause interference but when I screwed it back in it still worked? So, just to be safe replaced the CFL with regular bulbs. Perhaps one of the bulbs was slightly loose which was causing the interference?

Lift-master 2000SDR remotes will open but not close garage door. Same problem with all clickers and even those programmed into the cars. What could this be and better yet, how do I fix it?

Lift-Master 2000SDR opener. Opener generally works fine from the remotes. However, first time in the morning in cooler weather, it will start to close and the reverse and the lights blink. I have checked the senors - appear to be aligned properly. I have lubed the gear and used garage door spray on the rollers and hinges at the proper places. To close the door when this happens, I have to hold the wall button.

Liftmaster Professional and Clicker Programming Problems

The Security+ system is a rolling code system and is digital, so it will work with the Homelink in vehicles and with the remote control units that come with the opener. Also with new remotes that are purchased specifically for that opener. Your "clickers" require specific instructions and you need to use the Smart Learn function in order to use them with this opener. In addition, check the Brand Switch settings to be sure they apply to your opener, and the correct Smart Button color on the opener. Read carefully to determine whether you need to set ANY dip switches at all or can you just set them all to off depending on your opener? Check the instructions carefully. Here's a link to the page where you can download a copy of the Clicker instructions if you don't already have it:

REMOTE CONTROLS WILL NOT WORK-WALL BUTTON FLASHING RAPIDLY

Does your wall switch have a lock feature? By pressing the lock button, the remote control is disabled. A flashing light indicates this feature has been activated.

To deactivate, press and hold the lock button for 2 seconds. The flashing should stop and your remote should work again.
