Change the battery. This happened with mine along with the battery needing charging more frequently. In my opinion, Casio's assertions that you won't need to change the battery is pretty much of a joke. My jewler concurred.
After changing the battery I can now press the light switch button and the watch works normally.

If you are asking for that, it means you want to replace battery yourself, and if you do, you will have to open your watch anyway. So, open it, take the battery out and memorise all the writings on the battery. This is the type of battery you need.

Replaced with new battery if ever the battery 100% new .Then the problem is in the enternal connection is loose connection in the dial that's why intermittent problem.If you have knowledge to repair you can open this and resolder the loose connection,If you dont have the knowledge its better you bring your watch to a service center so it will repair properly and avoid the damaged.

this watch requires no battery. It uses solar cells. my watch did this as well. to make the watch functional again my advice is to not wear the watch for one day and place it near a window that gets a lot of sun.
