The easiest way to connect this is to find the cable going from the receiver to the TV and disconnect it from the TV.
Connect this cable to the back of the stereo receiver where it says "in" or "input".
Next take another cable and connect it from the stereo receiver output to the TV.

Dish Network VIP722 and a Vizio VHT510 sound bar.

Try connecting a optical audio cable out from your TV to your sound bar and directly connect your 722 to your TV with HDMI.

How do you hook this TV up to a standard Dish network system. We are trying to hook it up and it says no signal.

Hello there! My name is Becki, and I am with DISH Network. I do hope that this has been resolved for you! But if not, here are some steps that you can try. I hope this helps!

You will first want to put your TV on channel 3.
You can use RCA (red/white/yellow) cables to hook up the receiver to the TV.
If you are using a receiver that works 2 rooms, on the back of the receiver, the location for the RCA cables will have a green TV symbol with a 1 on it. That is where you want to connect these cables. Run these then to your TV. Some TVs will give you an input number next to these connections, such as Video 1 or 2.
After these are connected, try to cycle the inputs on your TV. You can do this with the buttons on the side of the TV, or with the remote. Go slow, becuase it can take a few seconds for the input to actually change. If this does not work, try to go to channel 4 and repeat the steps.

You could also use coax cable to connect from your receiver to the TV. The connection on the back of the receiver will simply say channel 3/4. And that is just what you do, put the TV on channel 3 or 4.

If these steps do not work, or you need some clarification, please let me know!

Hooked up the vip722 to my new 1080HP vizio ( with hdmi cables) and I am only getting a 480p signal. When I hit the info key on my vizio remote, it says 480p on the corner of the screen. Yes, I do have...

bestone890,

Go into the Main Menu. From there go to System Setup (6) -> HDTV Setup (8). Make TV Type 1080i and Aspect Ratio 16x9 and select Done. Your picture should now be showing a HD picture.

Our new vizio tv is hooked up just like our old tv, (satellite provider being dish network) and it says no signal with a blue screen

Hello. This is usually an easy issue to fix. To get the DISH Network back on the screen, i have included a few steps:

If you are at TV1, where the receiver box is located, the tv needs to be on channel 3 or 4. Depending on the cable that is running between the receiver and the tv, the tv may need to be on an input, such as video 1 or 2. If you are at the TV2 location, where there is no receiver, then the tv needs to be on channel 60 or 73.

If you are using an HDMI cable, then the TV will need to be on an HDMI input
If you are using Component cables, your TV will need to be on a component input. (Usually Comp 1 or 2)
If you are using RCA cables, then the TV will need to be on a VIDEO input (Usually Video 1 or 2)
If you are using COAX cables, then the tv needs to be on channel 3 or 4 (If you are at TV2, then the TV needs to be on channel 60 or 73)

I have my tv hooked to a hd dish network sat box but I i only receive 480p instead of 1080p.

Hello there!!! There are a few reasons this could be. The first step would be to check how the hd is set up on the receiver. Press Menu 6-8. You will want to make sure that the Tv Type says 1080p. If this does not work, make sure that you are, of course, using an HDMI cable, or component cables. If you are having any other troubles with this, you can e-mail me at [email protected].

I have a Yamaha HTR-5930 Home Theater Sys. Somehow, I've managed to lose my right channel when watching T.V. (dish network), but when my son plays with the XBox, he gets full surround stereo. Any ideas?

The XBox is probably hooked up separately to the amplifier, try cycling the inputs on the amplifier. If that doesn't work replace the cbale between your amplifier and tv.

Bought new Vizio 55"

Had same problem - turned off Adaptive Lumina, Backlight control, and Ambient light sensors on the Vizio advanced picture settings and the Dish remote now works. Vizio was emitting an infared signal that interfered with the Dish remote signals with these settings on. TV still works and looks just fine... But best of all Dish remote works too.

I would use the s-video out & red & white rca audio out on dish box to s- video & audio in on the t.v., then audio out from t.v.(RCA, red & white) to one of the inputs (RCA) on the receiver.
